When I turned on the TV
this morning to FOX News and learned of the untimely death of 43 year
old Andrew Breitbart, my first thought was “Oh my God, they killed him”
To you, that assertion might seem wild and disconcerting but I come
to this conclusion based on experience, I will explain that statement
in a minute.
I met Andrew once, briefly in Los Angeles at a conservative gathering
and had spoken to him a handful of times by telephone. I did not know
him in a deep and personal way but I admired his work and greatly appreciated
his championship successes with the internet news format.
Everything he did seemed big… really big! BIG GOVERNMENT, BIG HOLLYWOOD
and big stories like the taking down of ACORN and the exposure (pardon
the pun) of Anthony Weiner.
Andrew was having an effect, making a difference and building an ever
increasing following of everyday Americans who saw real promise in his
grasp of the issues, and his skill at rounding up tips and news items
that his team always turns into conservative gold. God Bless them all.
As a budding young talk radio host, I was fortunate to have a similar
experience regarding “friends” who brought to me stories and information.
Great information came my way often, and that worked to alienate and
annoy the growing forces of destruction in America. I truly think those
destructive forces found a way to get me off of the national airwaves,
but how can you prove a thing like that?
I haven’t quit and I won’t quit either. I have been inspired and rejuvenated
by the energy and the all American spirit a small handful of journalists,
people like Andrew Breitbart.
His early and untimely death only hardens my resolve to keep fighting
those evil forces that intend to destroy my America.
As stated, I have some experience in dealing with the untimely death
and loss of great journalists, who suddenly, too young to die, surrounded
by suspicious circumstances, just end up dead. It’s the reason I believe
Andrew Breitbart was murdered. Again, can’t prove it, just feel it.
First, there was my friend and frequent radio guest Danny Casolaro who
died at age 44 in a hotel bathroom in Martinsburg, West Virginia on
August 10, 1991. Danny was breaking big news and agitating powerful
forces like Ed Meese and a large number of high ranking people in business,
government and criminal enterprises, all of whom were connected in a
tangled web of deception Danny titled “The Octopus”.
This cantered around a collaboration involving an international cabal.
It primarily featured numerous stories familiar to many who worked in
Washington, D.C. in the 1980s.
The Inslaw case, about a software manufacturer whose owner accused the
Justice Department and it’s head, Ed Meese of stealing its work product;
Danny’s October Surprise theory was that during the Iran hostage crisis,
Iran deliberately held back American hostages to help Ronald Reagan
win the 1980 presidential election; the collapse of the Bank of Credit
and Commerce International; and Iran-Contra.
Danny’s family believed he had been murdered.
Before he left for Martinsburg, he told his brother that he had received
harassing phone calls late at night; that some of them were threatening;
and that if something were to happen to him while in Martinsburg, it
would not be an accident. He told me the very same thing on air. I am
currently in a desperate search for any recording of that show. My hope
is a listener may have recorded it as Talk Radio Network refused to
let me take my tapes with me when I left, and I am told they were all
destroyed. How convenient!
Danny’s family also cited his well-known fear of blood tests, and they
found it incomprehensible that if he were going to commit suicide, he
would do so by cutting his wrists a dozen times. A number of law-enforcement
officials also argued that his death deserved further scrutiny but the
powerful forces at the U.S. Department of Justice road-blocked every
attempt to get to the truth.
Danny’s research and most of his notes were given to ABC News and Time
Magazine, both of which investigated the case, but no evidence of murder
was ever found. Yeah right! I believe them - don’t you?
And then there was my friend and frequent radio guest from the San Jose
Mercury News Gary Webb. Who also died suspiciously in my humble opinion.
Here again, we have yet another 40 something year old prize winning
journalist who conveniently commits suicide by shooting himself 2 times
in the head?
Gary was a Pulitzer prize-winning investigative journalist who we are
supposed to believe shot himself twice in the head with his father’s
gun because he was sad about being rejected by his beloved news buddies.
I knew Gary well, spoke to him many dozens of hours and I can tell you
that in my view, based on experience, there is no way on Gods little
green planet that Gary took his own life. He was planning a move, very
excited about the exposure his research had gotten, and he never once
seemed depressed or aloof in any way to me.
Gary was best known for his 1996 series "Dark Alliance", three articles
written for the San Jose Mercury News and later published as a book
with the same title..
Gary Webb investigated Nicaraguans linked to the CIA-backed Contras
who smuggled cocaine into the U.S. The smuggled cocaine was distributed
by the CIA as crack cocaine in Los Angeles and the profits were funnelled
back to the Contras.
Webb's reporting generated some serious controversy, and the San Jose
Mercury News eventually backed away from the story, effectively ending
Webb's career as a mainstream media journalist. In 2004. I believe they
were coerced into it, but again, no proof, just a gut feeling based
on years as an interviewer and radio host.
The Gary Webb I knew was looking positively into the future, talking
to me about doing his own radio show and did not give any indication
that he was depressed or considering suicide.
I can point to others through the years who I knew well that ended up
dead. Bill cooper comes to mind, and then there is that long list of
dead bodies in the wake of President Bill and his co-President Hillary
Clinton, boy did those stories die a quick death or what? The message
to the conservative media from the power elite seems to be one of an
unspoken death threat to any journalist that might actually expose the
soft underbelly of the New World Order, even FOX News and Roger Ailes
backed down recently and publicly stated that they were backing away
from their conservative venue somewhat. Now ask yourself,; Why would
you abandon a formula that worked so well that you left all of your
competition behind by a million miles? It’s just utter lunacy!
For Danny Cosolaro it was an Octopus, and for Gary Web a “Dark Alliance”
for Bill Cooper, it was “Beyond a Pale Horse.”
For me it’s more reason than ever to support the few courageous media
folks left in the truth telling business, like our friends and super
gutsy reporters such as Joseph Farah and the our truth telling friends
here at WND.com. Pray for their good health and safe keeping, it appears
they’ll need a lot of it.
