The 'New Deal' - It's Not Politics Anymore
By Dr. Tom Burnett
8-1-11

This is a rant about Balack Obama and his insane actions as president. If it is going to disturb you, don't read it.

First let me state for the record that we are in in 'Recession v2.0' and it is going to turn into 'Depression V2.0'. We never got out of 'Recession v1.0'. We are going to become what we caused Mexico to become. Our military is going to come back somehow, hopefully with at least some of their equipment and help us take back the country. It's to that point. I doubt that after Kent State - and considering the feeling of every military officer for Obama, that one soldier will ever fire on an American citizen. I think it's unlikely that the national guard and the police will take the side of oppression - none that I know ever will. But I need to ask you - the people who call the police Nazis and promote hatred for them to lighten up. Take a different road. You want the police on YOUR side when the time comes to decide between right and wrong. You need to reach out to individual officers and their families - to become friends - to help them understand you and try to understand them. The policymakers are the bad guys. The police just follow the laws - or should. Not all do. But if the time comes, you want the loyalty of the police and national guard to be your community - not the orders of someone 6,000 miles away.

Obama did it again, but we all knew he would. Balack Obama gave away the farm, ran the economy further into depressionville, gained ZERO new jobs, helped ZERO unemployed and starving people, prevented ZERO people from losing their homes to foreclosure, and demonstrated, finally and completely that he isn't the President of the United States. IF he gets elected again, it will be because the Republicans all vote for him, and well they should.

I am sure all the usual suspects are going to explain why this eleventh-hour deal sucks; why it is bad for the country; why the country probably cannot survive this debacle in it's present form, and why there is now only one political party in Washington. I am sure that someone will explain that, while Social Security and Medicare benefits were not cut, there is a VERY real possibility that one of the 'deficit triggers WILL severely cut payments to Medicare PROVIDERS. So I may have Medicare, but no doctor or hospital will take it. It was not a compromise bill. It was a complete failure on the part of the President to do his sworn duty to the constitution and to the citizens of this country.

I am sick to death of that bastard. News outlets and pundits don't even call him ' Mr. President or President Obama' anymore. They call him, simply, 'Mr. Obama'. He has lost the respect of everyone who believed him and voted for him. He he has broken every one of them - and capitulated even on things he didn't have to. When BP destroyed the Gulf of Mexico, he LITERALLY gave de-facto command of the United States Coast Guard to BP. Thaymade the rules. If the Coast guard gave them orders, they were ignored. BP employees staffed the Command center that was supposed to be keeping them honest retired from the Coast Guard to become a BP employee but was allowed by the President to keep his official position as the incident commander.

He jumped in early on and took ownership of the Iraq debacle and The Afghan disaster. I doubt he has anything like the courage to send a SF team into Pakistan - I am sure that Leon Panetta ordered it. I remember watching Obama in the situation room...where he was sitting halfway back, hanging his head in his hands. Most of the time he couldn't even look at the video stream. He didn't look presidential. He looked frightened and cowardly.

Remember DADT? He ordered the military to stop. They talked it around for awhile and then decided not to. Remember not interfering with a state's right to legalize and regulate marijuana? He told the Attorney General HE appointed to let the states make their own laws. The Attorney General ignored him. He's afraid to tell the TSA to stop abusing war heroes, old women and putting their hands down the pants of little kids. They won't listen to him anyway so he might as well not make a fool of himself by trying to act like a leader when everyone knows he isn't.

He can't tell them to get out of Afghanistan - He can't even tell them to close Gitmo and send the few remaining people back where they found them. He tried, but he got his hand slapped. After that he was simply ignored.

He passed a completely unworkable and irrational health insurance plan that had the effect of TRIPLING my medical costs as of last July and I may lose my medical insurance entirely - I can't pay for prescription meds anymore and I can't pay the co-pay to see a doctor - which also tripled. In fact, what I have to pay to see a doctor and get two new prescriptions and see a physical therapist to rehab my knee cost more co-pay money than I had - so I skipped one prescription and the physical therapist last Monday.

If I had picked up my monthly prescriptions too, it would have cost me almost $200 just in co-pay for that one day - in addition to the $400 a month I pay for the privilege of waiting - sometimes hours - to get shoved in and out the door as quickly as possible. That's already $100 more than my entire social security check WHICH IS TAXABLE. Kaiser used to be the best health plan I ever had but now it's the worst. If I lose it, I can go to the VA. They aren't any better, but they'd NOT help me for free and I wouldn't have to worry about waiting - because I could never get in anyway. They are booked up 6 months or so for appointments.

So Mr. Obama's health plan is going to be repealed because it isn't workable. At some point, the Patriot act and the Bush tax cuts are going to have to be unwound. The paramilitary forces of the TSA, the DEA, the Department of EDUCATION, the....hell. EVERY federal agency in existence has either gone rogue or simply ignores Obama and his pissant appointees. They have declared war on the American people. The ATF ships firearms to Mexico and tries to blame US firearms dealers. OK, that's pretty obvious. They want us disarmed but they want the Mexican cartels armed. They have accomplished that for the most part, so our entire southern border is unsafe and we can't protect it - instead of protecting it, AMERICANS ARE WARNED TO STAY AWAY FROM BORDER STATES! OMFG! It's dangerous! And, of course, we are all sissies and aren't allowed to defend ourselves, our homes, our borders or our country. So why are we in Afghanistan again? Iraq? Why did we just give $45MILLION in military aid to SOMALIA and not ARIZONA?

It seems almost impossible to me that a person could accidentally ruin an entire country - and the greatest country in the world - in just four short years. He has to be doing it on purpose and I can name his co-defendants. It is quite likely in my opinion that Tim Geithner is an agent of a foreign government. He fought tooth and nail. along with Summers to keep Elizabeth Warren out and the HOUR she acted like she was going to do the job almost every American in the country wanted her to do and trusted her to do, Obama replaced her. Instead, he talked the Supreme court into giving corporations status as individuals. That obviously makes no sense - corporations and individuals have completely different agendas - but it proved that all three branches of government have been compromised and that the checks and balances no longer exist.

What is going to happen? I'll tell you.  There are three possibilities. The first is that women will be wearing the hajib and the Constitution will have been replaced by Sharia law. The second is that the United States will become a banana republic at best and Somalia at worst. The third is that we will continue along the path we are on now.

And these will be your children.

"Winston, come into the dining room, it's time to eat," Julia yelled to her husband.

"In a minute, honey, it's a tie score," he answered.

Actually Winston wasn't very interested in the traditional holiday football game between Detroit and Washington.

Ever since the government passed the Civility in Sports Statute of 2017, outlawing tackle football for its "unseemly violence" and the "bad example it sets for the rest of the world", Winston was far less of a football fan than he used to be.

Two-hand touch wasn't nearly as exciting.Yet it wasn't the game that Winston was uninterested in.

It was more the thought of eating another Tofu Turkey. Even though it was the best type of VeggieMeat available after the government revised the American Anti-Obesity Act of 2018, adding fowl to the list of federally-forbidden foods, (which already included potatoes, cranberry sauce, and mincemeat pie), it wasn't anything like real turkey.

And ever since the government officially changed the name of "Thanksgiving Day" to "A National Day of Atonement" in 2020, to officially acknowledge the Pilgrims' historically brutal treatment of Native Americans, the holiday had lost a lot of its luster.

Eating in the dining room was also a bit daunting. The unearthly gleam of government-mandated fluorescent light bulbs made the Tofu Turkey look even weirder than it actually was, and the room was always cold.

Ever since Congress passed the Power Conservation Act of 2016, mandating all thermostats - which were monitored and controlled by the electric company - be kept at 68 degrees, every room on the north side of the house was barely tolerable throughout the entire winter.

Still, it was good getting together with family. Or at least most of the family.

Winston missed his mother, who passed on in October, when she had used up her legal allotment of life-saving medical treatment.

He had had many heated conversations with the
Regional Health Consortium, spawned when the private insurance market finally went bankrupt, and everyone was forced into the government health care program.

And though he demanded she be kept on her treatment, it was a futile effort.

"The RHC's resources are limited", explained the government bureaucrat Winston spoke with on the phone. "Your mother received all the benefits to which she was entitled. I'm sorry for your loss."

Ed couldn't make it either. He had forgotten to plug in his electric car last night, the only kind available after the Anti-Fossil Fuel Bill of 2021 outlawed the use of the combustion engines - for everyone but government officials.

The fifty mile round trip was about ten miles too far, and Ed didn't want to spend a frosty night on the road somewhere between here and there.

Thankfully, Winston's brother, John, and his wife were flying in.

Winston made sure that the dining room chairs had extra cushions for the occasion..

No one complained more than John about the pain of sitting down so soon after the government-mandated cavity searches at airports, which severely aggravated his hemorrhoids.

Ever since a terrorist successfully smuggled a cavity bomb onto a jetliner, the TSA told Americans the added "inconvenience" was an "absolute necessity" in order to stay "one step ahead of the terrorists."

Winston's own body had grown accustomed to such probing ever since the government expanded their scope to just about anywhere a crowd gathered, via Anti-Profiling Act of 2022.

That law made it a crime to single out any group or individual for "unequal scrutiny," even when probable cause was involved.

Thus, cavity searches at malls, train stations, bus depots, etc., etc., had become almost routine.

Almost.

The Supreme Court is reviewing the statute, but most Americans expect a Court composed of six progressives and three conservatives to leave the law intact.

"A living Constitution is extremely flexible", said the Court's eldest member, Elena Kagan. "Europe has had laws like this one for years. We should learn from their example", she added.

Winston's thoughts turned to his own children.
He got along fairly well with his 12-year-old daughter, Brittany, mostly because she ignored him. Winston had long ago surrendered to the idea that she could text anyone at any time, even during Atonement Dinner.

Their only real confrontation had occurred when he limited her to 50,000 texts a month, explaining that was all he could afford.

She whined for a week, but got over it.

His 16-year-old son, Jason, was another matter altogether. Perhaps it was the constant bombarding he got in public school that global warming, the bird flu, terrorism, or any of a number of other calamities were "just around the corner", but Jason had developed a kind of nihilistic attitude that ranged between simmering surliness and outright hostility.

It didn't help that Jason had reported his father to the police for smoking a marijuana cigarette in the house, an act made criminal by the Smoking Control Statute of 2018, which outlawed smoking anywhere within 500 feet of another human being.

Winston paid the $5,000 fine, which might have been considered excessive before the American dollar became virtually worthless as a result of QE13.

The latest round of quantitative easing the federal government initiated was, once again, to "spur economic growth."

This time, they promised to push unemployment below its years-long rate of 28%, but Winston was not particularly hopeful.

Yet the family had a lot for which to be thankful, Winston thought, before remembering it was a Day of Atonement.

At least, he had his memories.

He felt a twinge of sadness when he realized his children would never know what life was like in the Good Old Days, long before government promises to make life "fair for everyone" and they realized their full potential..

Winston, like so many of his fellow Americans, never realized how much things could change when they didn't happen all at once, but little by little, so people could get used to them.

He wondered what might have happened if the public had stood up while there was still time, maybe back around 2011 , when all the real nonsense began.

"Maybe we wouldn't be where we are today if we'd just said 'enough is enough' when we had the chance," he thought..

Maybe so, Winston. Maybe so.
