- The piece I wrote on the tragedy of Detroit, Michigan,
originally published at www.Rense.com. It has circulated around the
Internet and over to Europe and Australia for over two years.
-
- At the time, Detroit had dropped from 1.85 million residents
to a paltry 912,000 people. In the Denver Post last week, the U.S. Census
report showed that Detroit declined further to 712,000 people. Unfortunately,
an incredible percentage of them live on welfare. The city has been overrun
with legal and illegal immigrants and features 90 percent minorities.
-
- Readers send me letters asking me how we can turn it
around. How do we change Detroit and many other cities inside the USA
from suffering the same fate?
-
- As I have said for 10 years and in my book America
on the Brink: The Next Added 100 Million Americans, we must engage a 10
moratorium on all immigration into this country. After the moratorium,
100,000 maximum immigrants annually that are educated, speak English and
contribute to our civilization! If not, we will continue importing poverty,
illiteracy and cultures of poverty into this country until it becomes as
degraded as any third world country. With Detroit's 76 percent high school
dropout rate, it's already happening! We cannot keep adding 3.1 million
immigrants annually from Somalia, Ethiopia, Sudan, Mexico and other third
world countries and "think" we can educate them and assimilate
them into America. It's impossible. Additionally, it will add 72 million
of immigrants within 24 years, which shows you the enormity of our stupidity.
The proof of Detroit remains the benchmark for failure and decline.
-
- Yet, not enough Americans have spoken up. The majority
keeps doing nothing. You would think that<http://www.NumberUSA.org>www.NumberUSA.org would
enjoy 10 to 20 million American members trying to save this country. Instead,
only 1.1 million!

Roy Beck. This 10 minute demonstration shows Americans the results of unending
mass immigration on the quality of life and sustainability for future generations:
in a word "Mind boggling!"

- If we keep heading down this road, our kids are toast!
-
- "Frosty I just received your piece about Detroit
and the rack and ruin the city is in, along with your observations as what
has contributed to the city's demise," said a reader named John. "My
question is how do we turn the United States around? Because as you noted
Detroit is just a microcosm of what is happening all over this country
on a macro scale. As you know by now, I live in one of the liberal capitals
of the world, where politicians, prodded by well meaning people wanting
to give a hand to people who are born to take advantage of a broken system,
have driven this state in to the same mortal abyss as Detroit.
-
- "From hundreds of thousands of illegals [actually,
millions use it at $346 billion annually] are using the system. Benefits
to public employees outpace the private sector. Where do we start? I'm
as fed up and confused as the next person. I am afraid that if we don't
get a handle on this situation and draw a line in the sand now; there will
be total anarchy. We are both the same age and remember when education
was something to aspire to. Several months ago I received an email that
showed pictures of Hiroshima and Nagasaki compared to Detroit today. The
question is "Who won the war?" We are embroiled in a battle
to the death for our Republic and it may already be too late. Gaddafi stated
several years ago that Islam will take over America without firing one
shot."
-
- David from California said, "It has been popular
for many years to move one negative statistic over from one column and
erase another, in a problem column. In math we learn that two negatives
make a positive but in real life we are cautioned that two wrongs don't
make a right.
-
- "We see on one hand that we may have 10 million
illegal non-citizens miraculously gainfully employed as well as drawing
benefits. So deportation would quickly fill the void with the 10 million
unemployed American citizens. Or, at least, a significant proportion...
if those unemployed Americans don't belong to the Bush gang, who are unwilling
to mow lawns and butcher beef for $6 per hr.
-
- "California, in particular, has come to the crunch
of having too many prisoners for the available housing, without the current
budget to provide more housing. Two solutions have been suggested. The
easiest, of course, is to release some prisoners, early. Like early retirement
to balance the budget in the teaching profession.
-
- "The other, more politically loaded, is to incarcerate
the Mexican citizens in their homeland at a reduced, affordable rate. The
man credited with developing the renowned London Metropolitan Police, Sir
Robert Peel offered some great wisdom. At a time of severe punishments,
in spite of the trying economic times, when a starving person had no choice
other than to steal food, facing prison or deportation, the severity did
not come into play. The significant factor was the likelihood of being
caught.
-
- "Nowadays, largely due to the development of the
attorney, we may add a grey area... the likelihood of being sentenced.
Being sentenced, of course, tends to be a far greater probability for
a Black youth than a veteran on Wall Street. Of all people, only Martha
Stewart appears to have fallen afoul of the financial and legal systems.
-
- "Also on the credit side of the equation, at least
in some states, like Georgia and Texas; there remains the noble intent
to obtain a hard day's labor from the inmates, teaching them and training
them to become good citizens. There must be some economic return for producing
license plates and collecting trash on the Interstates?"
-
- Finally, Martha said, "Seldom have I read an article
that says so well what so few wish to state. The corruption within our
government is horrendous and they don't even try to cover it up any more.
Our population has developed a 'ho-hum' attitude about it as they go back
to their favorite TV program, totally oblivious to their futures being
stolen right from under their feet. I have forwarded your article "Corrupt
Congress Wasting Taxpayer Trillions", and hope it will drag a few
heads out of the sand. Thank you."
-
- These same letters by the thousands have hit my computer
daily for the past 10 years, but not enough Americans have taken action.
In the next ten years, at current rates of immigration, we will see another
30 million immigrants added. At some point, our educational, medical and
welfare systems will collapse either financially or sociologically. Historians
will call it the "Tragedy of America."
