in the Masoretic text of the Hebrew Tanakh and in no other document known
to man, nor has anyone been able to duplicate the effect to date, even
using the most powerful supercomputers available. These messages (and even
encoded names which relate to the surface text in which they are embedded)
run in both directions at the same point in the text, overlap one another
at differing intervals, are sometimes several messages deep, and occasionally
even run over from one book of the Tanakh to the next, despite proof that
they were written by different individuals who are known to have lived
hundreds of years apart in real time. Distinguished (including agnostic/atheistic)
experts in the fields of linguistics and mathematics (including probability
theory) have been totally unable to explain this phenomenon, and have abandoned
the attempt, admitting that they are "many orders of magnitude greater
than anything that could be devised by the mind of man." (See the

- I think quite a substantial argument can be made for
Christ Jesus being 'God,' without resorting to, or in relation to, Trinitarianism,
and done so directly from the Word of God. And that is the first place
to begin, The Word -- and Jesus Christ IS The Word as scripture states:
-
- "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was
with God, AND THE WORD WAS GOD. The same was in the beginning with God.
All things were made by HIM; and without him was not any thing made that
was made... and the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us, (and we beheld
his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace
and truth." (John 1:1-3, 14) Jesus, the man of flesh, was clearly
begotten of God, but also clearly pre-existed his mortal frame and "...was
God."
What are the attributes of "God"? If we limit it merely to "The
Creator," once again, Christ Jesus pre-incarnate is clearly noted
as The Creator - "All things were made by him; and without him was
not any thing made that was made."

- Is God defined expressly by the attributes of being omnipotent,
omnipresent and omniscient as many would contend? Many argue that Christ
Jesus clearly was not "God" because he lacked all three of these
divine attributes while in the flesh. Clearly, he was not all powerful,
was not omnipresent, and not omniscient.

- Can a being apparently inferior to The Father (who undisputibly
has all three attributes) also be God? Of course he can, as we see in the
person of Melchisedec, of whom the writer of the book of Hebrews states
clearly:

- "For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of
the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the
kings, and blessed him; To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all;
first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also
King of Salem, which is, King of peace; Without father, without mother,
without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but
made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually." (Hebrews
7:1-3)
If such can be said of a mere man, into whose 'perpetual' priesthood Christ
himself entered (for unlike Jesus, who in the flesh had a genealogical
descent, a birth/beginning of days and a death/end of days, and both a
father and a mother, Melchisedec is represented as an eternal person without
such limitations), perhaps somewhere along the way 'who' and 'what' God
IS has been severely distorted. I believe the distortion comes from legalistic
thinking and attempts to put Almighty God in a convenient religious box,
to flatten Him out upon a linear grid and force that which is eternal and
multi-dimensional to conform to weak, beggarly human elements, edicts,
dogmas and even Platonic rationales which cannot apply.

- Again, in the beginning, we see God saying "Let
US make man in OUR image, in OUR likeness..."(Gen. 1:26). If then
man was made in the image and likeness of God, that image was of a plural
nature which was still entirely God. God made man in his own image, not
God and X (fill in the blank). There is no indication whatsoever that God
is consulting with or referring to any other persons that is not also 'God.'
(Some sects squirm around this to maintain a non-deific Christ, such as
the Jehovah's Witnesses, by claiming God is speaking with angels in this
plurality, but such an interpretation is absurd, as it is declared that
man was made in the image of God, not God and the angels. Nowhere is it
said angels were made in God's image, either).

- More than one God? No, "the Lord our God is One"
-- we simply must think outside of the box, using spiritual discernment
and not merely intellect. If the Father, Jesus Christ, Melchisedec, and
the Holy Spirit (also spoken of as "he" by Jesus, John 14:16-17)
all have the essential divine attributes of an Eternal nature/preiminence/creator/prime
mover (for even the Spirit of God in Genesis is represented in the creation
-- or as some believe, the refurbishing of a former world laid waste and
void -- in Gen.1), we still yet have but One God. Certainly not a "trinity,"
but something far greater! The Trinity is yet another "box."

- The One God was different from pagan gods by this virtue:
He and He alone was Almighty, First Cause, Creator and, unlike the manifold
gods of pantheism, singular in will, purpose, design and holiness. There
was never a limit to His manifestations. Pagan gods, inversely, fought
among one another, had individual wills, purposes, designs, etc. They were
distinct individuals of greater or lesser power, realms and/or abilities.
The singular will of the One God did NOT prevent Him from manifesting or
presenting himself in multiplicity, or evident plurality, or personages,
from YHWH ELOHIM and/or The Angel of the Lord, to Melchisedec, to "The
Lord" that entreated Gideon and whom Gideon prepared a meal (which
was 'burned up' by the Lord's 'rod'), and spoke openly and visited Abraham
accompanied by two angelics, to the incarnate Christ Jesus, and equally
in the person of the Holy Spirit who cast a vote among the first church
Apostles in Acts when they sat down to constitute a formal message to all
Gentile believers regarding First Covenant/Jewish issues of some controversy
(Acts 15:23-28).

- The ONEness of Almighty God is not relegated to mere
'being,' for how can the infinite, eternal 'all' be said to 'be' in any
definitive state or place? He is described as such only because the human
mind cannot grasp beyond the linear. Only through expressions of himself
is this achieved, just as scripture says, Jesus is "the image of the
invisible God" (Col. 1:15, 2 Cor. 4:4, ) and "in him dwells the
fullness of Deity in bodily form." (Col. 2:9)

- The Lord our God is ONE (Deut: 6:4) -- and he has so
chosen to establish all power in heaven and earth in Christ Jesus (Matt.
28:18), Lord and Savior, Redeemer, Creator, by whom, for whom and through
whom all things both seen and unseen came into existence (John 1:1+), who
is eternal (Micah 5:2, Isaiah 9:6), who came in the flesh (John 1:14, 2John
1:7), was tempted of all things wherewith we are tempted, yet without sinning
(Hebrews 4:15), who offered himself as a pleasing and acceptible sacrifice
to the holy requirement against all sin for us (Isaiah 53), suffered as
the Just for the Unjust (1Peter 3:18) and rose from the dead (Acts 10:40-41),
the only immortal, who dwells in unapproachable light (1Timothy 6:15-16),
and the only name given under heaven by which men might be saved from spiritual
death and destruction (Acts 14:12). This is the One, Only, True God who
says "... [there is] no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour;
[there is] none beside me. Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends
of the earth: for I [am] God, and [there is] none else." (Isaiah 45:21-22).
As Jesus said, "he that hath seen me hath seen the Father." (John
14:9). Thomas, when finally convinced of the resurrection when called by
Jesus to handle him physically, even his wounds, fell to his knees and
said to Jesus, "My Lord and my God," and was not rebuked (John
20:26-29) by Jesus nor any apostle present. (Many claim Thomas was making
an exclamation, but such an exclamation alone would have been a blasphemy
in his time/culture). If it was not so, if Jesus was NOT GOD, he would
have been resoundingly rebuked for such a blasphemy, perhaps even put to
death! Both mighty angels (Rev. 22:8-9) and men of God (Acts 10:25, 26)
rejected ANY form of worship, kneeling, etc.

- By these things we have the assurance than Christ Jesus
is Lord AND God, worthy of all praise, honor and worship. The Father is
not robbed (Phil. 2:6), for this is his express will, and as Jesus said
"I and the Father are One" (John 10:30). Christ Jesus was, is
and shall forever be "God."
