- In West Virginia, a young black woman named Megan Williams
was horrifically tortured and raped for days. Six white men are charged
with the crime and could get life in prison if convicted.
-
- Prosecution has not filed hate crime charges.
They say it would complicate the case and be difficult to prove-especially
since Megan already knew at least one of her attackers.
-
- But some activists want the hate crime prosecution.
Malik Shabazz, co-founder of Black Lawyers for Justice, organized a Nov.
3 "National March Against Hate Crimes," in West Virginia to demand
it. Rev. Al Sharpton joined him. The National Association for the Advancement
of Colored People (NAACP), however, refused to participate. The Charleston
Black Ministerial Alliance also urged its members not to participate. "We're
not going to demand that it be something if that's not what the law says
it is," said the Alliance.
-
- Perhaps these organizations were scared off
by Shabazz's reputation. He is on the hit lists of both the Anti-Defamation
League and Southern Poverty Law Center, heavyweights who blacklist him
as the "racist and anti-Semitic" leader of the radical Black
Panthers.
-
- Given his notoriety, Malik Shabazz is the
last person who should try to create hate crime legal precedents! He seeks
to use the very legislation that could land him behind bars.
-
- Crimes of Disbelief
-
- Megan's horrific ordeal is a crime that should
be harshly prosecuted and punished. But should it be punished more severely
than the same crime against a white woman, or a black woman the defendants
did not know? No. Racial prejudice itself-the belief-must not be criminalized.
ADL, aspiring thought police of the world, seek to criminalize many different
beliefs and "biases" (including those of anti-Zionist black people
like Shabazz!).
-
- We are witnessing the criminalization of
dissent-a millennia-old form of oppression. It happens whenever people
have enough power to force the consent of others.
-
- The people who stand to gain from hate crime
laws are those with the power to wield those laws against disbelievers
and dissenters. Today, the people who stand to gain from hate crime legislation
are elite Jewish activists who control American foreign policy, and, with
war-making clout, truly have powers of life and death over this planet.
-
- Gilad Atzmon, an Israeli-born musician and
anti-Zionist activist, <http://www.gilad.co.uk/html%20files/onanti.html>lists
the 23 Jews who hold top positions in the Bush administration. It is a
staggering list. He writes, "Since America currently enjoys the status
of the world's only super power and since all the Jews listed above declare
themselves as devoted Zionists, we must begin to take the accusation that
the Jewish people are trying to control the world very seriously. It is
beyond doubt that Zionists, the most radical, racist and nationalistic
Jews around, have already managed to turn America into an Israeli mission
force."
-
- It is not an overstatement to say we could
be on the brink of another world war, led by Zionists. Paul Craig Roberts,
an economist who served in the Reagan administration, speaks intrepidly
against the neocon Bush administration. Roberts <http://www.counterpunch.org/roberts02122007.html>writes
that an attack on Iran would be worse than Nazism-which is the boldest
description of evil you can make in our Holocaust industry era. "Such
an attack justified in the name of "American security" and "American
hegemony" would constitute the rawest form of evil the world has ever
seen, far surpassing in evil the atrocities of the Nazi and Communist regimes."
-
- Especially after Mearsheimer and Walt, the
floodgates have opened on this. The evidence is out. Powerful voices speak
the forbidden truth: that Israel dominates U.S. Mid-East policy. But the
cost of speaking against Israel--and speaking against Jewish-inspired hate
crime laws--is still high. Some think they can benefit from using these
laws, playing the Zionist/ADL game. Shabazz is, frankly, an idiot for trying
to advance identity politics ("help the black cause") by using
hate crime laws. These laws could silence his own work! He braids a rope
while his hangman stands behind him, silently coiling up every inch.
-
- Tearing Down our Safety Walls
-
- The United States has been a unique historic
experiment because its founding fathers sought freedom for extremely disparate
groups and different systems of belief. They wanted to guarantee freedom
of worship and speech and the press-for as long as America's citizens would
defend it. Ben Franklin said he offered us liberty, if we could keep it.
With wry realism, the Founding Fathers foresaw our current situation: a
bloated, grasping federal government silently snatching up the freedoms
we think we still have. They knew power must be limited and de-centralized.
Whenever power is concentrated in human hands, it is abused. That is the
record of history.
-
- Limits on government power increasingly erode
when shortsighted citizens stop seeing the government as a safeguard of
basic liberties and demand it provide a certain way of life. Once government
has power to require certain outcomes-by re-distributing wealth or policing
beliefs and forms of speech-it also has the power to enforce its orthodoxies.
And we all know what happens to dissidents under such governments.
-
- Right now, political correctness demands
the defense of Israel and Judaism, preferential treatment of homosexuals,
moral relativism, and removal of religious expression from public places.
We are seeing legislation put in place to require assent by force. Dissent
is criminal. Those who feel protected by such laws today may be jailed
by them tomorrow-as Shabazz may quickly learn when a federal hate law is
used to silence Israel's critics. No one is free when oppressors sit on
a throne-not even those who once seemed to gain the most.
