- No, Terri Schiavo did not go peacefully into the night.
Terri died a horrific death of court-ordered starvation and dehydration.
The Florida courts had sealed her death and the Supreme Court (too busy
taking on Nicole Smith's case) refused to hear the parents' plea for their
daughter's life. The facts of the case (read online) came down to an abusive
'husband' (living with another woman and the children they had) - kept
Terri's parents (siblings) from taking their daughter (sister) home to
minister to her in love. A sizable lawsuit settlement is certainly suspect.
Terri was not on life support - she had no terminal disease. Terri's
death is important in that she represents the culture of death we live
in.

- With the drum beat sounding for euthanasia - 'death with
dignity' - Terri represents the flawed, the disabled, those deemed too
costly in a world of marathons, health spas, liposuction, face lifts, etc.
She, and those in similar circumstances (the institutionalized - the elderly
- accident victims - deformed etc), are rendered 'non-persons, units,
useless eaters, better off dead'...just as those in distant lands who dare
to reside in lands of great wealth (oil - gas - timber - water - minerals

- The buffonery of today's TV 'programming' invites insanity.
Giggling 'newscasters' (polished plastic mouthpieces) report on a bear
jumping in a swimming pool, a food fight in Spain - punctuated by commercials
on how to become a skinny Trophy wife - and a hot dog eating contest (revolting
scenes of mindless asses stuffing their faces). As the giggling stops,
ever so briefly, the skeletal multitudes of Darfur, holding lifeless infants
to withered breasts, has the latest starlet Ambassador (UN), in her LL
Bean 'famine attire' - begging the world to donate for that bag of rice!
A bag of rice! This is comparable to pissing in the ocean and expecting
a tidal wave. What is not seen in her poignant plea (before she heads back
to civilization and food) are the mammoth oil derricks and the thousands
of weapons being delivered to the various factions (murder for hire) to
keep up the ho-hum propaganda of civil strife.

where mercenaries are trained to return to their lands and kill their own
people. Hearings in Washington, instead, address the use of steroids
in today's gladiator sports!

on them but their own government?
