Full Description of event/sighting: Every summer, for at least 5 summers, a friend of our neighbor across the street from us would visit his grandmother. He was the same age as me, around 13 years old at the time. We really got along and I looked forward to his visits. I think his name was Harold. On this particular visit, I told Harold earlier in the day that I got a small hand telescope for Christmas and showed it to him. I said its not easy to see much through it, however, when looking up at night, shooting stars became my fascination. So I told Harold, let's look for shooting stars tonight. He said OK, sounds good. I told my parents I was going to Harold's grandmothers that night and be home around 10:00pm. She said fine. After dinner I walked across the street, met Harold and said we would wait for dark. It seems to me now it was just when the sun set, we decided to lay on the ground and get the best view of the sky. Long Island is very long directly East to West, and short North to south. We laid on the ground looking directly East. East of Long Island is the Atlantic Ocean. Our field of view was approx. 30 degrees up, over small trees East, to straight up overhead. The sky was crystal clear. The Sky was also grayish dark, being that the sun had not set that far behind the Earth. As we were chatting and looking for shooting stars, approx. around 15 minutes, what we saw stayed with me to this day. Coming straight from the east were a formation of approx, 7 perfectly round objects. We could see them so clearly because they were extremely black against the slightly lighter sky. Also it was so quite where our houses were in approx. 1954. They were passing overhead fairly slow. I don't know what size they were, but I had the notion to raise my hand with thumb pointing out, and with my arm straight over one of the objects, it roughly covered the object almost perfectly. We did not say a word to each other as they passed over. Directly behind us was a gigantic Chestnut tree. We could not see through the tree. These objects did not make a whisper of a sound, dead silence. When they passed, I said to Harold, "What the hell was that"! Their formation was not a V shape. It was just a random grouping, and the spacing between them was approx. 3 thumb widths. I have never seen anything remotely like that in all the years since, and have spent most of my life as an amateur astronomer, up to 8 inch scopes, photographing the skies. I only saw Harold for a year or two after that, but I am sure Harold thinks about that day, just like me. Thanks for listening. Thank you to the witness for the interesting report. ----------
I was reading an article related to your website about people in Texas not remembering after seeing a UFO. In the 1960s my husband, child and myself were traveling in a Van across country on Highway 80 in the summer. We would stop and sleep in the Van at night. One night we saw a really bright light. The next morning on the road my husband said "how about that bright light" and I nodded and looked away thinking "He isn't supposed to mention it" and later in time I remember thinking that was such an odd thought. Many years later (30?) I and my daughter were talking and we both remembered it and being in a roundish room with a bench around the edge to sit and wait. We both remember the metallic oily smell and that was it. About 3 months later I mentioned this again to her and she did not remember our conversation. So. I don't know. Is this a hypnotic suggestion? Also, I don't remember aliens. What about those town meetings sectioned out that we aren't supposed to remember but some people are allowed to remember. I think it is big, and is human in its most disgusting form. I haven't seen a way to stop it. Let me know when you do. Thank God for Jesus for I do believe him. HBCC UFO Research Note: The man I chatted with is putting me in touch with one other person who was there are saw this strange event unfold. Four teens left Creston, BC for a camping trip along side of Kootenay Lake just North Of Boswell, BC for the weekend. The fellows arrived at their camping location at around 10:00 p.m., set up the tents/camp and wandered about the area for a couple of hours goofing around. Later on after chatting and watching the sky they shut things down for the night which was about 2:00 am. Just after they turned in a brilliant light caught everyone's attention (lit the entire area up) and the guys crawled out of their tents to watch a large yellow/white globe (massive is size) descended and hovered over the lake at approx: 1000 feet, this happening directly out from their camp site. A small bright egg shaped object came out of the bottom (?) of the larger craft and descended to just over the lakes surface, and this also came to a hovering position. From what the witness told me the egg shaped craft caused quite a disturbance on the water as it sat over the water's surface, although the teens were not able to see what it may have been doing, they were able to hear the sound of rushing water. After approx 20 to 30 seconds had past while watching this event, the smaller egg shaped craft traveled back up from where it came from, and back inside the large stationary globe. Roughly ten seconds passed and the enormous globe traveled towards the north until they lost sight of it. Everyone was pretty scared and they all stayed awake that night, packed up their belongings and left for home early the next morning. Description: While acting as Duty Tower Controller at ECG in N.C. I received a call (approx 2230 hours) from the radio operator. He patched me in on the landline where I listened to Washington Center, Military sources including the Duty Officer in the tower cab while he described the object hovering over the runway. Color/Shape: Silver in color, approximately 30 feet long, cigar shaped with two orange port holes in the side and a flashing green light below. The object made a whirring sound. Height & Speed: Tracked on radar by Washington Center it departed up the Potomac River at approximately 100 ks directly over the White House where it turned skyward and disappeared in a flash. Later observed by a NW commercial air carrier enroute NYC at flight level 280. Tracked briefly close in then departed as before. TV/Radio/Press: N/A. Hello Brian, I was stationed at Coast Guard Air Station, Eliz. City, N.C. for three years (65/68) as one of the seven air traffic controllers in the entire USCG (USN trained, AC(A) school,Glynco, Ga.and FAA certified). The event occurred Marine Quantico. I have an apartment in Pittsburgh, PA, but live and work in Dalian, China. The entire incident was typed by the radioman who gave me a copy (five pages) printed on the old Mimeograph drum machines. I thought it was most unusual and interesting but you have to remember all I had to draw from was old Flash Gordon moves and the scattered accounts (then just disclaimed by the USAF Blue Book report) of Roswell and Area 51. None of my fellow controllers thought it beyond amusing (at the Marine Capt. reply when asked by Wash. Center "can you go out there?". He said "not no but hell no I'm not going out there". Primary reason for our reaction was, it was a very conservative time and no one wanted to be associated with controversy. We didn't get our assignment by being political adventurers. I told a social friend at the FAA Flight Service Station about it and got a better response and request for the transcript. Since I thought they were the bottom line in professionalism (as a later 10 veteran of the FAA 71/81 I found out much differently) I agreed. His supervisor liked the read and forwarded it to FAA HQ in Atlanta where it disappeared. End of story. Last Dec I attended the Man Will Never Fly Association annual dinner (on the eve of the 'supposedly' First Flight) and was talking with a ret. USN Captain, (fmr Fox-4 driver, five tours in the 'Nam) at the hospitality room. He listened with polite attention and I noticed a strange smile on his face. I started out by saying "now, I'll probably lose whatever creditability I have by telling you this story" when I finished he said " We just had our home remodeled and the wallpaper installer told me the same story a month ago". Full Description of event/sighting: Hi Brain, your website and radio show are awesome ! This sighting took place in 1979. I was 20 years old at the time. It was a muggy August night. I was driving home from my sister's house. She lived in a Town called Bohemia in Suffolk county on Long Island, NY. There's a road that connects to Sunrise Hwy called Pond Rd. This is a narrow road that had a few street lights on it. I mention this because it comes into play later. On the left side of the road there's a few houses, but mostly woods and on the right is Conetquoit State Park with lots of woods. Anyway I'm driving home and I look up at one of the street lights I'm passing and noticed that one of the street lights (or at least it looked like that from the angle I was looking at it) moved away from the other lights to the right on went to the State park. I first thought it was a search light of some kind from the airport. Islip/Mac Garther airport is approximately 5 miles north of my location and occasionally I would see the beacon do sweeps in the surrounding area. But the more I looked at it, the more I realized this was a solid light and not a beam of any kind. It was roughly 200 yards from the road and approximately 20 degrees above the horizon and it looked like it was flying in between the trees ! I was pacing it (or it could have been pacing me !) for about a mile and I kept trying to figure out what it might be. I soon, as I decided not to get out of the car ( I thought that was a wise choice, since it was dark and I was alone). The light stopped and started back in same way it had came ! It looked the a solid oval of light. It was about the size of my thumb nail at arms length. I've experienced a few other things in my life, but I'll leave that for some other time. My husband and I had a similar encounter back in 1991. We were living in Westlake, La. at the time. With our school age children we were helping with their Astronomy classes by studying the moon with a telescope on just about every clear night we had. We started noticing odd things like from 10:00 pm to 11:00 pm. We would see little balls of light leaving away from Venus or the moon. Eventually one of these lights came close and flashed over us like a wave. Then started coming closer and closer until you could tell it was in our atmosphere. Thank goodness the kids were already in bed. Getting scared we went inside and closed the curtains. The next night my husband and I woke about 2 am feeling and hearing this pulsating vibrating noise right over the house. Then nothing for about 13 years. Now during the last 3 years out here in the country where we live now things are happening again. I think what we did had alot to do with this activity returning. About 7 years ago we bought some land deep in the country of Iowa La. I mean we are in the sticks beyond the sticks. Anyway we were camping while clearing some of the property to put a home on it about 5 years ago. While laying in the long grass with our three youngest children star gazing. We all started seeing these lights moving about among the stars. One night we seen one in our atmosphere fairly close. We were like wow, a UFO. My youngest took his flash light and started flashing triangles, squares, and etc. at it as we started to go inside a huge tent we had set-up to stay in while we camped and worked. Right as we started to enter, this light suddenly got huge and flashed on us all standing there holding us in it's beam for about 2 to 3 minutes. Needless to say it scared the kids half to death. We quickly went into the tent and settled down for the night. We went home the next day. We have been living in our home here now for 4 years and are visited regularly every summer. It starts with a bright light that penetrates the house. It will travel from one end to the other. This usually happens when we are all in bed. A few of us have been awake to see it. I don't know if anything is ever done to us because I don't remember, but 2 of my children and myself will get nose bleeds, and have had weird marks on our legs, arms, and the back of our necks at different times over the last few years. Full Description of event/sighting: Three beings with large heads, about 4 feet 3 inches in height, examined me while I was on the floor of my bedroom paralyzed. I could not move my mouth to speak, but somehow I knew that I could communicate with these being telepathically. I asked what was happening to me and the one closest to him sent me a telepathic message that I was dying and they were trying to prevent it. I became a little nervous then. The other 2 beings were positions to my left, near my left leg as their hands touched my abdomen area. Their touch seemed tingly, as if static electricity was coming from them. Suddenly, I began to get sleepy and I asked, "what is going on with me now?", and the one closest to my head telepathically said that I was getting sleepy because I was receiving something similar to an anesthetic. I just remember getting sleepier and sleepier until I blacked out. When I woke up, I was no longer in an altered state, but I was in the exact spot on the floor that the beings were examining me. I had fallen asleep in my bed, now I'm lying on the floor, opposite the position that I went to bed in. My abdomen was still tingling from where these beings had touched me. This was very, very real. Full Description of event/sighting: Heading west on Slater I saw it in the distance. I continued to Scott and Parkdale and walked across railway tracks for a better look. I saw two police officers beside their squad car. They were staring and they did not respond to my question, of what the heck is that object. The orange ball was not there when I turned back, very spooky. My friend phoned the radio station the next day, but got no follow up. We still talk about how insignificant it made us feel. Full Description of event/sighting: Our son was outside to do a chore and this is what he witnessed at 9:30-9:35pm. No sound, Very big, larger than a helicopter and not a plane. Low lights and not very bright, five to six lights. No lights flashing. Came from the east and went over his head and headed west. Slow moving. Seen until out of range by his mother. Full Description of event/sighting: UFO was only observed via the Washington, D.C. webcam, not in person. Because of the time and close proximity to the Capitol Building, I'm sure the flying object must be something known (even though it's a UFO to me) since it's clearly moving in the "no fly zone" area of Washington, D.C. I saved the webcam image and can send it to you via an e-mail if you wish. The cylinder is silver (metal) and extremely clear so it could be scrutinized better by someone who knows how to enhance or enlarge the object for better viewing. I'm completely ignorant about digital cameras, modifying pictures, etc. I still cannot take a picture in the night sky with my own digital camera I've had since last September, 2006. Reading the instructions on settings for types of pictures, hasn't helped me either. I've decided it's one of those areas of learning that is affected by my continuing disability with "ADHD. Full Description of event/sighting: I saw a object of three bright white lights with a red light in the center above 6th Ave, very close to the ground. Maybe a foot ball field's height moving extremely fast, at which point it took a 45 degree turn for the ground. I took a left, and parked a quarter mile up the road. It was brighter than any star, with a glow of red in the center. It just sat there. I have a video of it in my cell phone. Then after about 2 minutes it went left very slowly. Full Description of event/sighting: Hi Brian. I've written to you before, though it's been a long time. I've also moved again to another town since I last wrote to your site. I've written in the past about abduction experiences. But now I've witnessed, just tonight, what I believe to be a UFO. This was first noticed by a friend of mine as he was getting ready to get into his car to leave my home. He looked over into the northwest skies and asked me if what he was seeing was a star or a planet. Well, not knowing much about stars or constellations, I told him it was too bright to be a star and that perhaps it was a planet. We saw other planes and jets throughout the skies. There were some wispy cirrus clouds dotting the night skies, but with nearly a full moon tonight, visibility was very good. I would estimate it's distance to be about 8-10 miles to the west-northwest and it was just below the cirrus clouds. We saw this thing for a solid 30 minutes before it faded out completely and for the last time. There were times my friend and I would tell each other, "Did you see that? It just moved to the left!" And other times we would say, "Did you just see that thing fade out and brighten up again?" My friend said to me twice, "Did you see that thing move in our direction and back to the left again?" The light would fade out completely several times. But the light came back on as quickly as it went out. At times it was a bright white for several minutes and then suddenly it would fade to blue then orange. At one point it rotated in a clockwise direction, but it did so horizontally. There was definite movement from this thing. I don't know of any planet or star that bright that comes up in the west-northwest portion of the sky here in the east. I also don't know of any star that fades, changes colors and changes directions every few minutes. Again, I had a witness with me this time! Every time it moved, we both confirmed what the other had said. Strangely, there were no military craft dispatched and I'm wondering if the planes in the immediate area filed any reports of sightings in the skies tonight. I will keep my eyes open for any new reports, but I'm hoping someone will make a similar report to this site who lives within a 25 radius of my home. Full Description of event/sighting: My friend and I were driving down Yeamon street in Belleville Ontario when my friend said,"look at that". I looked but didn't see anything. He turned the truck down off of Yeamon street going down to my place and he said to look between the buildings as there was something in the sky. I looked and I couldn't see anything. My friend drove up to another house and in-between the houses I see a silver, or metal looking tube just sitting there in the sky. It looked like it was a tube at first, but than I noticed it looked like the glare from the metal. It was moving and almost like the thing was spinning. I then noticed it tilt and I seen it had a bottom. I only noticed it tilt for a second, then it went back to normal and started moving slowly away. We drove to follow it and saw it again between the next two houses. Then the flight path it was on, or should've been on was gone because when we went drove to the next break in the houses, there was nothing there and that's not possible. This thing had to fly like a hummingbird as it made no noise and judging from the size of the bottom and how close it was it should've made noise. I live near Trenton airbase and about 3 minuets after I saw the object. I saw 3 jets fly in the sky upwards and in a triangle around were I saw the object. Full Description of event/sighting: I went outside to bring my cat in for the night and I happened to look up at the sky. We get a lot of air traffic over our house, but I've never seen anything like this. I'm wondering if it was a Stealth plane because it made absolutely no noise and it was very large. I can't really say how big it was as the sky was partially overcast and I couldn't compare it to the mountains (which would give me an idea of how high it was flying as well as it's size). It seemed to be flying quite low, and was much larger than the planes that normally fly over our place. It had 5 orange/red coloured lights which were steady - they didn't flash like the lights of a plane usually do. I think there were 3 on one side, and two on the other making it look a little off kilter. I believe it was a triangular shape - I couldn't actually see the body, but it blocked out an area of sky. I saw it for maybe 5 seconds and then it was gone behind the clouds. It didn't seem to be travelling very fast. The thing that really made me take notice was that there was absolutely no sound whatsoever. For something so large, well that is why I'm wondering if it was perhaps a Stealth or some sort of spy plane. Have you had any similar reports from anyone. Full Description of event/sighting: As we were traveling to Sudbury, my husband commented on a very bright star in the sky, adding that it must be the North Star. I was a little confused, particularly as he was looking west. I leaned over and that's when I saw the object he called a star. The 'star' was large and triangular. I was baffled. I'd never seen a star shaped like an arrow head and I didn't think stars could, randomly shrink down to a pinpoint as this one did occasionally. But I was willing to accept that perhaps the vehicle's movement played some part in this mystery. As we drove along, I suggested that perhaps we were looking at some angle of a crescent moon. It seemed like a plausible explanation for the shape. My husband rejected that idea unequivocally saying that there was no way that was the moon, but he had no idea what it could be other than he still believed the light must be a star. Eventually, we decided to stop and view the object from a stationary point. As we stepped out of the truck to look up, I realized the object was no star, it wasn't the moon and it was obviously moving closer as it was now much larger than before. That wasn't all. It also had a green tail. I was spooked. This was no star. My husband, who still insisted this was a star, wanted to keep on going, so we hopped back into the truck and drove on. As we continued driving north I continued to watch the object. It was amazing. For several reasons. Firstly the object, while mostly stationary, was capable of movement, secondly it pulsated with colour and lastly, no one, absolutely no one seemed to notice the enormous, bright, pulsating object in the sky. Astounding. It was a warm night, there were at least a dozen people out walking, sitting or doing little in general and none of them, absolutely no one looked up. Unfathomable! At 11:00 pm. we rode the elevator up to my mother's apartment and dashed outside onto the balcony. The object was still in the sky only it was now closer and brighter than before and it was pulsating with green and red lights. Still no one seemed to care. Not the people unloading their car eight flights below us and certainly not my seventy four year old mother who was also staring at the object. Her comment? 'Sure it's big, it's bright and it's flashing red and green. It's probably a UFO but who cares? I'm too old for that, if they come for me I'll go.' Then she went back inside to watch TV and make some hot chocolate. Strangely, since that evening I keep looking up and I am now convinced that they, whoever they are, are here. I've seen other objects in the sky in Hastings, my new home town, and each of these is equally inexplicable. However, just as in Sudbury no one seems to care. I have even gone to lengths to point the objects out to my neighbors and their answer is identical to my mother's. 'Who cares?' Is everyone that myopic or apathetic. Full Description of event/sighting: I was checking out the roof from my deck. The sky was clear blue, with a couple of elongated clouds (chemtrails/contrails?) (I have read some articles about objects "hiding" behind clouds.) As I looked directly at the sky the object I saw what looked like a white football, moving in a straight line toward the clouds? Didn't have my camera, so I ran in the house, got the camera, and when I got back outside, the object had gone into the cloud-trails. I could see with my eyes movement in the trail, attempted to capture it on camera, but no luck. I watched the sky for several minutes, but the object either disappeared or never came out of the cloud-trail. At arms length the object was about the size of the end of my small finger. Shortly after I saw another object that I thought was maybe an ultra-light, moving in the same direction, but a little lower. Neither object made any noise.
