Missing In Action
By Jim Kirwan
10-1-6

POWs are the Achilles heel of the Decider and his armies of occupation around the world. This is so, even though it's been five long years since the USA has taken no Prisoners-of-War, in any of our illegal wars of occupation, torture, and the slaughter of innocents that we have subjected the world to; just to meet the needs of Israel's paranoia and our own obsessive greed, for resources and territory that was never ours.

This practice began with 911 when the fighters were supposed to have been scrambled to intercept the attacking planes but the interceptors were not scrambled: and the nation was lost! From that moment the Monstrous-Lie was clear for all to see. That was the moment when the coup began, but even then the Bandits were not smart enough to finish the job they only accomplished two-thirds of what they set out to do. Had America had anything like an awake and American-friendly media, 911 would have stopped right there because real questions would have been asked, and real answers would have been sought. That did not happen so from that moment to this one the United States of America has made itself a prisoner of the Cabal that stole this nation and now wants to finish this bungled attempt at a takeover in very final terms. Incidentally: Every single act since that moment has only compounded the initial crime, until what is left is too large to even contemplate!

For five years now - the public has been treated to 'the Decider's fantasies' regarding Rove's tendencies to make-up terms that have no meaning. One of his favorite themes has been the elimination of the term P.O.W. (Prisoners of War). The Decider decided that America needed to be immersed in several total and unending wars. Everyone knows that when a nation goes to war there will be prisoners-of-war, or POW's. But wherever there are POW's there are the Geneva Conventions, and those global rules must be followed-in terms of the treatment that the nation holding the prisoners must follow. To escape this law the Decider created the term "unlawful enemy combatants" something that has yet to be ruled on by the courts. Initially, the term applied only to those swept up on battlefields that the US created, virtually overnight. To date there are an unknown number of Afghan detainees from many countries, plus about 14,000 UEC's (unlawful enemy combatants) from Iraq, and only god knows how many others have been stolen in the night by some of the sixteen different intelligence agencies that have been funded to the tune of some sixty-billion dollars.

In these years of aggressions against so many why have we never witnessed any trials of those supposedly lethal enemies of the United States? The Israelis have a similar policy and they still hold over 11,000 Palestinians, over 60 of which are members of the legal Palestinian government. By contrast the Palestinians and Hezbollah hold just three captured Israel soldiers. The invisible enemies that we say we're fighting don't seem to capture American troops, in the course of conflict-yet we persist in rounding up whole families, including children, that we simply throw in jail to be tortured, maimed or killed-at the convenience of their jailers. No explanations are ever given-except for National Security, of course!

The USA has slaughtered people from the air using missiles from predator drones that indiscriminately kill people. These 'people' are later supposedly identified as insurgents, yet they often turn out to be just ordinary people trying to survive in a war upon their own countries, wars created illegally by us and for those massively powerful corporate entities that fund the conflicts and collect the profits from supplying the armaments that provide the destruction: this is augmented by secret contracts to clean up their devastation and rebuild what they first destroyed-secretly of course. But throughout it all, the point in all this destruction and chaos (the enemy) is not catalogued, not tried, not convicted of anything except of not being in agreement with US corporate or capitalistic policies: Why not?  Where are the show trials, where is the evidence, manufactured or real, that would show the world the truth? Why has this totally false administration not chosen to use these tens of thousands of prisoners to demonstrate "the rightness" of their supposed cause? Because there is no credibility for our actions, and we can't have courtroom proceedings that might show this to be the truth!

One reason comes from the legal problems that they still have with the court systems here. The Decider's minions have owned the congress for decades. Consequently they do not fear congress because that body has spinelessly sold its sworn oath to protect the constitution and the American people for a song. Something like 70 percent of the congress takes money from a foreign power-illegally-because that foreign power is not registered as a lobby that represents the foreign power that Americans know as Israel. The lobby is AIPAC (American Israeli Political Action Committee)-which just happens to be the single most powerful lobby in the USA.

The packed US court system however presents a slightly different problem. Some of the justices seem to take what they do with more gravitas than their counterparts in congress; The Supreme Court ruled against the Decider's created enemies, by labeling his misuse of this weird terminology as unconstitutional. What is really being sought now is the right to be pardoned for past crimes, by legislation written by those who committed those crimes-who now want the Supreme Court to grant them pardons for all that they've already done to date-this is insane-please see the quotes below!

From Democracy Now: "The Bush administration's controversial military commissions and detainee treatment bill is one step closer to being signed into law. On Wednesday, the House approved its version of the measure, leaving it to a vote in the Senate today. Under the new bill, detainees would be prevented from challenging their imprisonment and denied access to evidence used against them. Critics of the bill say it also gives too broad a definition of who can be ruled an "unlawful enemy combatant"; {critics believe the wording is crucial, as it can be interpreted to mean that this legislation will apply to American citizens as well - k} and provides little protection against detainee mistreatment. The administration was forced to come up with new procedures following a Supreme Court ruling in the case of Guantanamo detainee Salim Ahmed Hamdan. On Wednesday, Hamdan's lawyer, U.S. Navy Lieutenant Commander Charlie Swift, said the new bill could again be ruled illegal.
·
U.S. Navy Lieutenant Commander Charlie Swift: "They're basically recreating, almost identically, the same trial the Supreme Court struck down that said they violated Common Article 3 and also violated the UCMJ at that time, and just basically didn't provide fundamental, what we call due process, for a fair trial. And no amount of saying that it's a fair trial makes it a fair trial and that seems to be the bill's biggest thing. We claim it's a fair trial but we haven't really changed any of the things the Supreme Court found substantively problematic."

Just one in five Democrats voted with Republicans in the House Wednesday. But Democrats say they won't challenge the bill because they do not want to appear weak on terror ahead of the November elections. In an editorial today, the New York Times writes: "Americans of the future won't remember the pragmatic arguments for caving in to the administration. They'll know that in 2006, Congress passed a tyrannical law that will be ranked with the low points in American democracy, our generation's version of the Alien and Sedition Acts." "

This issue of the missing Prisoners-of-War is of major importance because the status of hundreds of thousands of people is no small matter; especially when one considers that the United States is supposed to be a nation of laws not, not men. A nation created to be a place where no person is to be considered either above or beyond the rule of law. Five years is a very long time to leave so many people to rot and to be tortured in illegal detainment, at the pleasure of illegal war machines that care nothing at all about anything the world might think, or whatever rules the global community has in place to deal directly with the prevention of this exact same crime against human beings from so many nations.

The Decider and his ever-compliant cowards in the congress need to face this issue and tell the world exactly what the hell they've been doing with these people, and on what authority-for all these years! The media throughout this entire masquerade has remained strangely silent-refusing to even raise these questions-never-mind the fact that they should have held extensive inquiries of their own into how this situation could possibly be allowed to continue unabated for so many years? Of course the same thing is true of both 911 and the illegal Israel lobby, along with all the unanswered questions surrounding the number of dual-passport-government-employees that have valid Israeli passports-Michael Chertoff, the Israeli head of US HOMELAND security is one of these. The 'battlefields-at-home' are littered with unanswered questions-questions that the congress and the courts are charged with answering, especially in what Bush terms "this time of WAR." All of this came to a screaming halt Friday, when the Senate overwhelming passed the legislation-all that remains now is for Bush to sign this treasonous bill into law.

How can it be that the United States of America has sent troops into combat, with no clear line of authority for their being there at all? How can it be that despite all the evidence and testimony to the contrary that so many in the military (past and present) have provided against the leadership that directs their every move, has gone unheeded! The US military has lost the war in Iraq and lost it's military edge to do what is required of it, because it has followed the orders of incompetent leadership on all levels beginning with the Secretary of Offense, Donald Rumsfeld-and continuing UP the chain-of-command to that creature at the center of all the failures of US Policy for the last five years! No one has been fired, and now because no limits have been set, we're looking at two new wars to accompany the two failures we're still pretending to fight?

"The U.S. has battled in Iraq longer than it fought against Nazi Germany, and the situation in Iraq is out of control. The Taliban have regained half of Afghanistan. The king of Saudi Arabia has told Bush that the ground is shaking under his feet as unrest over the American/Israeli violence against Muslims builds to dangerous levels. Our Egyptian puppet sits atop 100 million Muslims who do not think that Egypt should be a lackey of U.S. hegemony. The king of Jordan understands that Israeli policy is to drive every Palestinian into Jordan." (1)
What happened to American intelligence; not in the agency-term of that word, but in the day-to-day form that ordinary Americans are supposed to have in such abundance? When you have so many losing propositions, in everything from jobs to education; from health-care to war and commerce-all run by a government that is nothing more than a satellite arm of the oil industry-is it any wonder that all we ever get is more failure from every word they speak? Why have there not been more public demands for resignations in every area that so-called government has infected with poisonous agendas that were designed to kill every aspect of the United States. This was once a much different nation from the metastasized cancer that it has become today?

The government's use of the bogus term "unlawful enemy combatant" needs to be outlawed. The US must answer for every person they have detained, and begin to resolve the cases pending against the individuals involved or dismiss them outright. The reason the world chose to call captured enemy soldiers Prisoners of War, was precisely to avoid the massive task of trying each person for whatever they did in combat, given the difficulty of testimony, reconstruction of the crime-scenes, and or the conditions under which anyone was captured. Fighting in a war is not a simple procedure, and making rules about it is next to impossible. Since crimes are usually committed on all sides in a wartime situation prisoners when taken were intended to be held until the hostilities ceased, when an exchange could then take place. But his "this war on terra shall have no end" according to that illiterate psychotics who are still in charge!

If the conflict really is to have no end, because this is not a war against armies or nation-states, but a war upon an idea that can never be completed-so long as hate and anger and injustice still exist-then let us recognize these "wars" for the illegal actions that they are, and end them now! These actions were designed to steal territory and to subvert any who oppose our latest ideology of unrestricted Capitalism, and unchecked Corporate-Crime. This is what happens when citizens become consumers only, and when people fail to question, the actions of the rogue government they have allowed to take over their lives. If any of us still want to have a life, then we must demand answers and clarifications from everyone at all levels of government-and we must not stop until those 'in-charge'- are barred from politics for life and tried for the crimes that they've all committed. The process that questions political behavior in America is called an impeachment and the punishment for Treason against the nation is death.

What does this nation stand for, and who among us chooses to kneel to those that have stolen what was ours to begin with? Are you willing to live life on your knees, or would you rather stand and speak to those who would silence you with the stroke of a pen and call it national security? If people do not soon speak, then like the POW's before us, many will simply disappear, or be listed as missing-in-action. The time has come to get involved America and the choice of what to do is yours!
