- Headed by Mr. Bob Park of www.veteransforsecureborders.us
, the following letter addresses the President of the United States, President
of the U.S. Senate, and Speaker of the House of Representatives of the
United States of America:
-
- Resolution:
-
- Since 1790, 42,348,460 American veterans
have taken an oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United
States of America against all enemies foreign or domestic, and whereas,
they died, but never surrendered; massive amnesty for millions of illegal
aliens is surrender! And, whereas, the next few weeks will see the
culmination of a process President Bush kicked off in 2000, prior to 9/11-namely
whether the U.S. will remain a Republic or be subsumed into a "North
American Common Market" like the European Union, and, whereas, the
guest worker amnesty proposals before our Congress seriously erodes U.S.
sovereignty to the point where the American people will no longer have
a voice in how their country is governed as millions of new immigrants
are allowed in, and whereas, the United States population will be 500 million
people by 2050 if this massive guest worker amnesty is approved;
-
- Whereas, with demonstrators chanting
"Today we march, tomorrow we vote," will America's Republican
form of government as guaranteed by our Constitution survive with an additional
300 million people crammed into diminishing open spaces, and, whereas,
to this day, our young men and women continue to step up, accept their
oath and go forth to battle to defend freedom where sadly, too many make
the ultimate sacrifice, while hate America mobs fill our cities' streets,
and, whereas, today, there are 24.5 million living American veterans, to
whom, we continue to owe our deepest gratitude, respect and our freedoms,
and whereas, massive amnesty for millions of poor, uneducated illegal alien
invaders will drain earned and necessary resources from our American veterans;
-
- Whereas, the president and too many members
of Congress appear oblivious to the meaning of their oaths of office as
is evidenced by their deliberate disregard of Article IV, Section 4 of
the United States Constitution, to wit: "The United States shall
guarantee to every state in this Union a Republican form of government,
and shall protect ach of them against invasion; and on application of the
legislature, or of the Executive (when the legislature cannot be convened)
against domestic violence."
-
- Whereas, with the numbers of foreign
invaders violating our national borders in increasing numbers, the rise
in crime and violence, the reported Mexican military incursions, the environmental
devastation occurring, the incalculable human suffering, social and economic
costs, no reasonable person can deny America is being invaded, and whereas,
the outrageous, blatant interference by Mexico in our political process
at the local and national level is unacceptable, and, whereas, the bold
and absolute defiance of our laws by self-identified lawbreakers taking
to our streets and neighborhoods with impunity under the banner of Mexico
to demand Americans surrender to mob rule is reprehensible;
-
- Whereas, the demonstrations witnessed
by millions of Americans were not extraordinary but are typical by the
way governments are influenced in many Latin American nations where the
rule of law is spelled M-O-B! And, whereas, Americans must stand
by and witness in utter disbelief that this can occur without any resistance
from our local, state and national authorities is a shameful demonstration
of how weak and impotent our government leaders are;
-
- Therefore be it resolved:
-
- The Veterans for Secure Borders, on behalf
of millions of American veterans and All Americans, call upon the president
and Congress to secure our borders first; oppose all legislation that would
result in granting amnesty and legal residency in any form or by any name,
to millions of illegal alien invaders currently in the United States, including
those illegal invaders who would be pardoned under "guest worker amnesty"
legislation, and that a sufficient number of our military be assigned to
assist the Border Patrol in deterring further invasion across our nation's
borders.
-
- And, be it further resolved, that a clear,
unequivocal statement by our president be issued to the effect that any
alien unlawfully present in the United States must leave or be removed
from the United Sates, and be it further resolved, Mr. President, that
you immediately come before the American people and explain in detail what
your plans are with regard to dismantling our borders with Canada and Mexico
in order to build a North American community;
-
- And, be it finally resolved, Mr. President,
America is still worth fighting for!
-
- Respectfully submitted,
