- Brian from San Saba, Tx submitted this freshly videotaped
sequence of a distinct "rod." One thing to note: for those who
contend that rods are objects of some distance from the camera and of considerable
size, or parts of chemtrails or even UFOs, this video (like many) clearly
demonstrates otherwise. The rod in this sequence is anywhere from 20-30
feet from the tree/photographer, passing between them. The tree in this
shot allows for an excellent measuring stick.

- It was in my front yard.. I was testing out my new camera.
Its a Sony drc-trv 120.. iI have heard of some strange things being seen
when the sun eclipsed objects.. so I decided to try it on a tree.. I knew
if something passed in front of the tree it would have to be real close..
sure enough about 10 minutes into the video I noticed something shoot acrooss
the screen very rapidly, when I slowed the video down it seemed to
be a snake like object around a straight rod.. it was very strange.. so
I decided to use my firewire card to capture the video to the pc.. the
still shot I sent was blown up version of the second frame of the object..

- In the first frame i noticed the tip entering the scene..
the second frame was the full shot and the 3rd frame was the objects tail
leaving the scene.. I was really impressed by the object.. We judged the
object to be approx 30 ft from the camera or less.. and to be about 2 to
3 ft long in diameter.

- The video from yesterday is filled with these objects,
its real strange.. some are very far out in the sky while some are close..
this was the closest shot in the video.. and the most impressive.

- I have been intrested in skywatching for quite some time..
but this is the first (rod) type thing I have ever seen on video.
