Massive Increase In Alzheimer's
And Other Forms Of Dementia
Predicted In Next 35 Years

Note - It is our considered opinion that a large percentage of this coming wave of Alzheimer's - and 'Other Forms' of dementia - will actually be the result of TSE/BSE/Mad Cow in the general population. We believe - and have stated for years - that mad cow is prevalent in the beef and dairy industries in the US and UK. Further, the transmission of prions through reusable medical and dental instruments is a given...as those who have studied the issue carefully already realize. There is a wealth of material on rense.com which points directly to the foregoing conclusions. - Jeff Rense

In a report published in the most recent issue of The Lancet, a group of 12 experts from the Alzheimer's Disease International have predicted, that by 2040, the global incidence of Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia will rise dramatically to 81.1 million.

The report states: "We estimate that 24.3 million people have dementia today, with 4.6 million new cases of dementia every year. The number of people [with dementia] will double every 20 years, to 81.1 million by 2040."

While the number of cases in developed countries such as the United States will double by 2040, the number is expected to more than triple in India, China and other countries in south Asia and the western Pacific.

According to the report's authors: "We believe that the detailed estimates in this paper constitute the best currently available basis for policymaking, planning and the allocation of health and welfare resources."

The prediction, while dire, does not vary materially from the forecast made two years ago for the United States by the Alzheimer's Association. That group predicted an increase from 4.5 million cases now to 6.5 million in 2025. Such an increase would overwhelm the economy and health-care system unless addressed in the next five to 10 years by research.

Most experts agree that people can ward off or delay the onset of many of the problems by changing their lifestyle to include physical, mental, and social activity as well as better eating habits.
