to the north at 3pm local time Wednesday afternoon.

- Eyewitnesses told Mafkarat al-Islam that the Resistance
fighter drove into the American patrol, damaging two of the American vehicles,
one of which was totally destroyed. The witnesses said that none of the
members of the six-man crew of that vehicle emerged from it after the attack.
Three American troops were seriously wounded in the second vehicle, the
witnesses reported.

the area that two bombs that had been planted by the side of the main road
blew up nearly simultaneously as a column of five US Zeal personnel carriers

witnesses as saying that an explosives-laden car that had been parked by
the side of the road blew up as a patrol of several American armored vehicles
and Humvees was driving past.

Saudi border early Wednesday.

- Iraqi Resistance forces battled US Marines in the area
of 'Ar'ar on the Iraqi side of the border with Saudia for about two hours
early Wednesday morning.

- The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in the 'Ar'ar border
complex area reported that US occupation forces together with a division
of the Iraqi puppet army deployed in large numbers along the Iraqi-Saudi
border three days ago. The Americans and the puppet troops expelled the
settled Bedouin who live in that whole region, driving them out together
with their herds of sheep. The occupation troops then set up military camps
and aerial observation points there.

- All that US military activity attracted the Iraqi Resistance
who began their assault early Wednesday by mounting mortar attacks and
followed that up with an attack of more than 30 Resistance fighters according
to eyewitnesses.

- Intermittent fighting lasted nearly two hours. In the
course of it, one American helicopter was shot down and two American vehicles
were destroyed. Three other armored vehicles were disabled by Iraqi Resistance
shoulder-fired rockets.

followed the Resistance men into the desert after they pulled out following
their attack. The US aircraft managed to destroy a Nissan pickup that some
of the Resistance fighters were driving. That attack left six Resistance

Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces had fired eight
82mm mortar rounds into a US military camp set up in the as-Saqlawiyah
area northwest of al-Fallujah, some 60km west of Baghdad.

- Residents of as-Saqlawiyah who witnessed the bombardment
told the al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam that the Resistance
attacked a house in the al-Bu Shajal area which the Americans had occupied
and turned into a military encampment for themselves.

- The mortar barrage destroyed a large part of the camp
and left six US troops dead or wounded, three of them American snipers
who had been posted atop the roof of the building, the witnesses said.

building of the ar-Ramadi stadium that US forces have taken over and turned

occurred at 7am local time Wednesday morning.

of the al-Mal'ab (Stadium) neighborhood who witnessed the attack as saying
that eight mortar rounds blasted into the American camp there from three
different directions.

morning, the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported that at the time
of writing swarms of US aircraft were prowling the skies over the area.

- US forces carrying out mass arrests in az-Zaydan area
near Abu Ghurayb.

- US occupation forces backed up by Iraqi puppet army troops
have carried out a massive wave of arrests in the last two days in the
az-Zaydan area west of Abu Ghurayb, some 30km west of Baghdad.

- The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported residents
of az-Zaydan as saying that US and Iraqi puppet forces have been carrying
out coordinated arrests on a large scale of Sunni residents of their area,
claiming that they have been aiding or actively participating in attacks
on the occupation forces and the puppet troops in az-Zaydan and surrounding
areas and villages.

55 civilian residents of their area have been rounded up and taken away

- Iraqi Resistance forces mounted a double attack on a
joint US-Iraqi puppet army force in the al-Ghazaliyah area of western Baghdad
at noon Wednesday.

- The Mafakrat al-Islam correspondent in Baghdad reported
residents of al-Ghazaliyah who witnessed the attacks as saying that an
Iraqi Resistance fida'i fighter launched the two-pronged operation by driving
an explosives-packed car into a US military colum and exploding in its
midst. That blast destroyed one American Humvee, killing or wounding the
members of its four-man crew.

of the attack by detonating a bomb among the Iraqi puppet troops who were
coming to the aid of the Americans along a road leading to the scene of

- A number of Iraqis apprehended two Americans disguised
in Arab dress as they tried to blow up a booby-trapped car in the middle
of a residential area in western Baghdad on Tuesday.

- Residents of western Baghdad's al-Ghazaliyah district
told Quds Press that the people had apprehended the Americans as they left
their Caprice car near a residential neighborhood in al-Ghazaliyah on Tuesday
afternoon (11 October 2005). Local people found they looked suspicious
so they detained the men before they could get away. That was when they
discovered that they were Americans and called the Iraqi puppet police.

on the scene a large force of US troops showed up and surrounded the area.
They put the two Americans in one of their Humvees and drove away at high
speed to the astonishment of the residents of the area.

- Quds Press spoke by telephone with a member of the al-Ghazaliyah
puppet police who confirmed the incident, saying that the two men were
non-Arab foreigners but declined to be more precise about their nationality.

- Quds Press pointed out that about a month ago, the Iraqi
puppet police in the southern Iraqi city of al-Basrah arrested two Britons
whom they accused of attempting to cause an explosion in the city. The
Britons were taken into custody by the Iraqi puppet police only to be broken
out of prison by an assault of British occupation troops. That incident
has created a tense relationship between the British and the local puppet
authorities in al-Basrah, Quds Press noted.

Iraqi puppet army in the al-A'zamiyah area of northern Baghdad.

convoy of US supply trucks on the road to the US as-Siniyah military base
west of Bayji north of Baghdad.

residents of the as-Siniyah area as saying that a bomb that had been planted
under the sidewalk next to the road to the base exploded as a convoy of
four Humvees and nine trucks loaded with provisions and equipment for the
US troops drove past. The blast set one of the trucks on fire, seriously
wounding the driver.
