- On the evening of Oct. 16 2005, MSNBC aired a special
called "Dangerous Crossings." The show documented a group of
illegal aliens traveling from Mexico through the desert to walk into the
USA. I had high hopes they would tell the truth on this documentary, but
I was wrong. The network should be completely ashamed for the bleeding
heart slant they put on the problem.
-
- To begin with, the documentary repeatedly referred to
illegal aliens as "migrants" - even AFTER they illegally entered
the United States. Yet the program's television guide description stated
it was to be about "coyotes who bring these people into the US illegally."
There were the usual bleeding heart interviews with wanna-be migrants,
who were looking through border fence lamenting about jobs in America.
These are the Mexicans who don't have the $1000.00 to $1500.00 to pay a
coyote to take them across.
-
- The show made absurd, inaccurate statements such as the
"US government has hired thousands of new border agents to deal with
the problem." Any American following the pathetic Capitol Hill soap
opera about stalled border patrol funding to put REAL security on the border,
knows what a big fat lie that these new agents represent. The voiceover
for the endless stream of video-bites also claimed how "the border
patrol employs the latest high tech technology."
-
- On camera in desert interviews, border agents displayed
little motivation to deal with the massive and expensive problem. These
men know the real truth - that border patrol actions are in reality, pure
theater.
-
- When one group of illegals were apprehended, they told
INS agents "there are still two women and children wandering out in
the desert without water or a guide." They have been traveling in
the desert for three days. Now the border patrol mission turned into a
rescue mission as they begin tracking footprints. Isn't it nice that these
illegals that call themselves "men" would leave women and children
behind to die in the desert?
-
- The final segment was titled "Revolving Door."
Victor Clark of the Center for Binational Studies explained that "in
the middle of the trip, people are sold from one coyote to another. That
is the mechanism used. The next coyote moves the group on further."
-
- An INS agent talked about illegals that refill their
water bottles at tanks provided in the US along the way. Once caught, they
tell agents they are "poor and have no money, and have come to America
for work." These people processed, finger scanned and SUPPOSEDLY returned
to Mexico. They can be caught up to 15 times before they are OFFICIALLY
deported. Only then can they serve jail time. Once back in Mexico, they
turn around and try again.
-
- One of the illegals in the program named "Robert"
did get caught, but tried again right away. Despite the heightened state
of alert at the border, he made it anyway.
-
- SOMEONE DEFINE WHAT "POOR" IS FOR THE REST
OF US
-
- Now let's understand this. These same illegals that have
"no money" return to Mexico, immediately will pay another $1500.00
to try again and again. Someone needs to define the word "poor"
for the rest of us to understand. The lax treatment of captured illegals,
providing water, transportation back to Mexico and no effective enforcement
laws are the real problem. Our government is ENcouraging them to cross
over illegally, rather DIScouraging them by changing policy. And as always,
the American Taxpayer (capitals intentional) foots the bill. How much more
of this crap are we supposed to put up with?
-
- This nonsense of catering to illegals to the point that
Americans have to speak THEIR language, is going too far. If you travel
to Quebec, Canada you better be ready to speak french. In some restaurants
there, you can't even order if you refuse to speak in french. Even road
signs are in french. And why not? It's their land. When anyone comes to
America, they should speak english. Aren't you sick of buying an appliance,
and finding that only 25% of it is in English?
-
- Instead of fanning the flames with current worthless
border policies, illegals should be shown HOW to turn their corrupt country
around and then send them back. Spend a few million to provide resources
BACK IN MEXICO for them to turn their economy around THERE, instead of
spending hundreds of millions of dollars to slap a bandaid on the problem
HERE. If the resources are in Mexico to make their life better and get
them out of poverty, they will stay there. Period. It's time someone instilled
a sense of duty to their country in them. When life gives you lemons, you
make lemonade instead of running away as these illegals have.
-
- All illegals should be taught the expression "the
grass is always greener on the other side of the fence until you jump the
fence, and find out it's just astroturf."
-
- A FINAL NEWS FLASH TO ILLEGALS:
-
- ALL THE JOBS HAVE MOVED TO CHINA. GO TRY TO ENTER CHINA
WITHOUT GETTING SHOT. MEXICANS WHO BECAME CITIZENS THAT LIVE AND WORK
IN AMERICA, ARE ANGRY AND DON'T WANT YOU IN AMERICA, ACCORDING TO A RECENT
POLL.
