- The first five years of the New Millennium have been
turbulent - very turbulent!
-
- Selected, coached, financed, and promoted as the winning
candidate George W. Bush's mount to the first Presidency of the century
was stalled on the hanging tabs of the Florida election system, a state
governed by his brother John Ellis "Jeb" Bush. The matter was
settled by the Supreme Court and a second Bush was granted a controversial
elevation to the highest office of the land.
-
- While all this was going on, unseen operatives of the
Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) completed the framework for Homeland
Security and Berkeley Professor John Yoo and others with the help of the
Ashcroft Justice Department put the finishing touches on the USA Patriot
Act (Uniting and Strengthening America by Providing Appropriate Tools Required
to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism).
-
- Claiming a personal relationship with Jesus, the new
President quickly signed an Executive Order creating the White House Office
of Faith-based and Community Initiatives; thereby growing and extending
the government's tentacles into yet another arena. He also sent to Congress
a $1.6 billion dollar ten year tax cut which, like all of its predecessors,
was a mendacious fraud since it did nothing to curtail the cost of government.
-
- During his first sixty days in office he made a trip
to Mexico to confer with Mexican President Vincente Fox Quesada.
-
- After the visit he commented "Some look south and
see problems. Not me. I look south and see opportunities and potential. Our
future cannot be separated from the future of our neighbors". A faithful
supporter of the United Nations and the CFR, he makes no effort to stop
the illegal invasion across our southern borders thus helping to advance
the new world order dream of a North American Union. As I write this essay
there are reports that Bush's cozy relationship with Fox has resulted in
armed Mexican troops being allowed inside our borders to help with the
aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
-
- On September 11, 2001 at 8:46 AM a jet aircraft flew
into the side of the North Tower of the World Trade Center in New York
City. Seventeen minutes later a second jet flew into the side of the South
Tower. Four jet aircraft had been hijacked in American airspace. A third
aircraft flew into the Pentagon and the fourth crashed in Pennsylvania.
It was the most stunning example of asymmetric warfare in history and a
pivotal event for the nation.
-
- These timely onslaughts set the stage for the implementation
of, Homeland Security and the USA Patriot Act. The former was implemented
with Tom Ridge as its head and the latter was quickly passed through the
congress. According to Journalism Professor and author of America's Unpatriotic
Acts, Dr. Walter Brasch, the Patriot Act violates at least six Constitutional
Amendments (1st, 4th, 5th, 6th, 8th, and 14th), and targets not just terrorists
but every American citizen as well.
-
- Hastily, the Comprehensive Airport Security Act was codified
by a panicky congress filling our airports with government employees backed
by law enforcement and sanctioned with total control of each potential
flyer.
-
- Forty thousand additional federal employees were added.
The taste of police state tactics was bitter but ultimately swallowed and
digested by the American public.
-
- Nine-eleven also set the stage for the Bush "War
on Terror" and in spite of the fact that "terror" has never
been specifically defined it appeared to include the invasion of Iraq.
-
- The Twenty First Century has seen Gasoline double in
price; America's highways are in shambles; our cities are so dangerous
policemen will not enter certain areas; while the Bush Administration employs
them and allows their harlotry in the White House, homosexuals parade about
our streets demonstrating nudity and deviant sexual bondage; our southern
borders are being massively invaded by illegal aliens; born and bred in
America, corporations that formerly provided the most lucrative jobs are
being forced by our own government to move to other nations; we are deeply
in debt with China holding mountains of future obligations. Like a chain
smoker America is being destroyed from within while at the same time attempting
to expand an empire it may not live to enjoy.
-
- As if all this is not enough, during the past two years
unusually large hurricanes have devastated our southern states. Last year
central Florida was harassed by massive and slow moving Hurricane Francis;
one of two storms to strike the region. This year New Orleans suffered
disastrous flooding from Hurricane Katrina. The size, behavior, and quantity
of these storms is unusual and the source of speculations that our weather
is being controlled.
-
- The police state tactics being foisted on the citizens
of New Orleans are a disgrace. American soldiers are forcing private citizens
to evacuate their homes (for their own good of course) at the point of
a gun. Many of these homes have never been flooded and are being kept clean
and habitable. One is reminded of the propaganda meted out at Waco. Before
they all died in the fire, they were being evicted for their own good because
of the sexual abuse. I wonder how many of the dispossessed New Orleans
residents will ever see their homes again.
-
- Like his father before him, President Bush II has been
a government expander rather than a government shrinker. His budget requests
have been the largest in American history. In 2001 he requested nearly
$2 trillion; currently these unthinkable figures have gone up by 50% to
well over $3 trillion.
-
- He has failed to rescind the worst of the spate of Executive
Orders executed by his predecessor lending a tacit support for many of
President Clinton's initiatives.
-
- For the past hundred years America has been involved
in frequent unproductive wars. New millenniums have always brought conflicts.
At the beginning of the Nineteenth Century it was the War of 1812 (Madison's
War) which lasted two years. During that conflict with the British, we
made an unsuccessful attempt to invade Canada but were successful in defending
New Orleans and Baltimore. The war established our independence but accomplished
little else.
-
- At the turn of the Twentieth Century the Spanish American
War formed the crucible of American imperialism and was a prototype of
things to come. In direct disregard for the admonitions of the Founders,
armies were sent to foreign lands to fight against a foreign power. Begun
in opposition to imperialism the United States itself became imperialistic.
-
- The war was won and the prize was, Puerto Rico, Guam,
and the Philippines; though occupied by American troops for several months
Cuba was ultimately given freedom. Sadly, this war fought over a century
ago buttressed the concept that power creates justice. This idea is still
prevalent in our nation. One who understood the immoral nature of this
aggression was Mark Twain who wrote against the war maintaining that "An
inglorious peace is better than a dishonorable war."
-
- After defeating the Spanish in the Philippines, American
troops fought to gain control of their prize. It is seldom recalled but
between 200 and 500 thousand Philippine civilians lost their lives. The
bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki were not the first American travesty
in Asia.
-
- Peace was fleeting, in 1917 the nation was again involved
in a foreign war in Europe. Of a total of over 15 million fatalities resulting
from the War, 116 thousand were American men. Looking back it is difficult
to find a resulting benefit.
-
- The balance of the Twentieth Century was strewn with
wars: World War II, Korean War, Vietnam War, Somalia, several incursions
into countries in our own hemisphere, and the bombing of Serbia.
-
- Now in the Twenty First Century we have begun another
imperialistic conquest in the Middle East. Similar to the protracted conflict
of the Spanish American War in the Philippines we are now bogged down in
Iraq in the midst of 200 million Arabs many of whom will never concede
to an American occupation. Our casualties have been relatively light but
the toll on Iraqi citizens is in the hundreds of thousands. The injustice
of the American invasion of Iraq will result in the same strife that has
been fifty-year fare for the Nation of Israel. It can only end with the
unthinkable annihilation of millions of Arabs.
-
- This new Millennium has brought into the light an ancient
perversity. Everywhere the clandestine claws of world government encroach
on the sovereignty of nations. The United Nations is its overt face with
America as its functional base. The powers behind it are nonspecific but
their intentions are obvious. Our citizens have been brain washed into
trusting government, the justice of power has been enshrined in their minds,
they have been "dumbed down", deceived, robbed of their wealth,
and prepared for police state government. Justice has been replaced with
the jack-boot of power!
-
- If you are in doubt, try arguing with one of the government
goons that now control our airports or do the same with your local policeman.
Try to find out how many New Orleans citizens have been killed by our own
armed soldiers because they refused to evacuate their own homes. Right
and wrong have been trumped by power and the ugly face of tyranny is peeking
out from under the filthy blanket.
-
- Five percent of the Twenty First Century has seen changes
more drastic than those of the Franklin D. Roosevelt Administration. The
Constitutional Republic known as the "land of the free and the home
of the brave" is no longer recognizable. Instead America has become
an unpredictable, secular behemoth being used as an instrument of the invisible
power structure to bring about world government.
-
- The ruthless monster is about to throw off the filthy
blanket.
