- They say that if you give a fool an inch, he's going
to want a mile.
-
- Emboldened with the success of the Neo-con strategy to
steal the national elections by appealing to "values conscious voters
in The Heartland, AKA the "Red States, the Republican Party, or more
simply "The Party, to the surprise of no one living in a "Blue
State, is ready to use its uncontested muscle to expand initiatives for
writing religious fundamentalism into the U.S. Constitution.
-
- Now that "The Party has wiped out organized
resistance
in nearly all levels of American Government, that shouldn't be too
difficult.
-
- And "The Party leaders are not fools. And they know,
whether you like it or not, America's two party only system doesn't provide
any checks or balances following the demise of one party or the
other.
-
- Reporting about government and marriage, David Crary,
of the AP National, states,
-
- "Protection of marriage, is now the watchword for
many activists fighting to prevent gays and lesbians from marrying. Some
conservatives, however, say marriage in America began unraveling long
before
the latest gay-rights push and are pleading for a fresh, soul-searching
look at the institution.
-
- According to Crary, for now at least, legislative plans
will focus on "modest steps: tax revisions benefiting married couples,
a more positive portrayal of marriage in textbooks, policies aiding young
college graduates so they could afford to marry sooner.
-
- Rewriting some books can't hurt, right? After all, its
not like we are living in totalitarianism where one Party or another might
actually call for burning books.
-
- Still that's just a starting point for government
intervention.
Crary writes,
-
- "When you talk about protecting marriage, you need
to talk about divorce" said Bryce Christensen, a Southern Utah
University
professor who writes frequently about family issues.
-
- "While Christensen doesn't oppose the campaign to
enact state and federal bans on gay marriage, he worries it's distracting
from immediate threats to marriage's place in society.
-
- "If those initiatives are part of a broader effort
to reaffirm lifetime fidelity in marriage, they're worthwhile,, he said.
If they're isolated " if we don't address cohabitation and casual
divorce and deliberate childlessness " then I think they're futile
and will be brushed aside.,
-
- Cohabitation! How about your choice of reading matter
or TV shows?
-
- If you think that the same consciousness behind bringing
big government into the private sanctum's of the nation's bedrooms will
be content on anything less than ultimately recreating a new vision of
"White's Only Christian America, like the 17th Century Puritan model
of the Pilgrim's in Massachusetts, your either living in fantasyland or
you may soon find yourself being tried for witchcraft.
-
- SETTING THE TABLE
-
- In an arguably dumbed down society plagued with declining
real incomes, outsourcing of skilled labor and manufacturing, the legalized
invasion of privacy rights whether with the Patriot Act or marriage bans,
and the disintegration of electoral institutions, the reversal of evils
will clearly require our unity.
-
- For the Republican Party though and those that keep them
in power, the real battleground is not about unity and it is not bounded
by what has become defined for us by their political patrons as our
"traditional
moral values. The real war is against "Diversity, the code word for
racial tolerance.
-
- "The Party's strategy to expand and energize its
fundamentalist base, known during the Nixon Years as "the Silent
Majority,
is to use legislation to reverse the growth of America's "salad bowl
culture and resurrect the racial stereotype of the Anglo Saxon White
Superman,
God's choice to proselytize the world's heathen, wherever they may be
(Sorry,
Adolph, your idea of using the Arian model was defeated in battle).
-
- All this might appear to some few as an implausible
departure
from the Republican Party slogans of the sixties that stood resolute
against
the using of Congressional initiatives to influence personal behavior.
Back then, bumper stickers reflected the protests by Republican candidates
at all levels of government who railed against Federal power with zealous
indignation and proclaimed for all, "You can't legislate
Morality!
-
- But there is no inconsistency with this.
-
- Remember, the issue then was extending voting rights
to African Americans and allowing women to get equal pay for equal work.
And the while it took a decade or so for the slogans to take hold in the
Heartland, the strategy of using racial code to activate unconscious
regions
of the brain that harbor fear and social paranoia worked perfectly.
-
- Starting with former segregationist Democrats defecting
to "The Party in the South, "The Party regained Congress
gradually
by seducing legions of white voters over ensuing years. Many defectors
were eager to affirm their increasing fervor to reverse or place limits
on the movement to extend equal rights for all Americans while others just
responded "Silently to racial stereotypes that say in ignorance, that
White People, like those in "The Party are more "decent and
"clean
or that they represent values more like their own (and less like those
other people who suddenly want to move into their schools and
neighborhoods).
-
- Much the same way as stealthy "bots inhabit the
hard drives of unsuspecting computers awaiting a remote signal to turn
the host machines into zombies set to deny service to target websites,
"The Party pioneered the use of the human slogan bots, often
propagated
by posers on radio talk shows, to set the table for the "The Party's
take over of Congress in the Nineties.
-
- With the shock troops ashore, "The Party stormed
the beachhead for the denial of equal rights attacks against future
generations
of minorities, wives, and daughters, to the delight of the white male
backlash,
in what was to become a fundamentalist counter-revolution against the
people
of their own nation.
-
- THE CLASH OF CULTURES COMES TO AMERICA
-
- Followers of American Demagogue Joseph McCarthy once
proudly said of his cold war anti-communist witch-hunts, "I,d rather
be dead than Red, a reiteration of the famous word first spoken by Joseph
Goebbels prior to the collapse of the Third Reich.
-
- For the first time since the Civil War though, those
same words may become the echoing battle cry of disenfranchised millions
in America.
-
- This time though, the disenfranchised can be found in
America's "Blue States who woke up after this November's election
shocked not only to face the end of confidence in our electoral
institutions
as well as only the carcass of a one time opposition party that was wasted
in its aftermath, but also the lynching of democracy itself in America's
"Red States, where voters supposedly turned out in record numbers
to overwhelmingly advocate the denial of equal rights to their own law
abiding countryman.
-
- Many in Blue States wondered aloud when we had quietly
stopped being a democracy to instead become a banana republic where the
outcome of elections is determined not necessarily by the will of the
people,
but by those who count the votes or just build the machines that supposedly
do that for us.
-
- Talk has been heard since of dividing the country into
two nations, the wealthy Liberal Blue States and the economically dependent
and allegedly fundamentalist Red States. Many now question whether our
Republic, and the two party only system that seems part and parcel of it,
was ever really a democracy at all.
-
- And make no doubt about it people are frightened.
-
- Not surprisingly though, "The Party knows what to
do.
-
- After all, "The Party has thrived now for nearly
four decades on subliminal slogans and codes crafted carefully to energize
frightened voters not empowered by anyone else to cope with change.
-
- And the real nightmare for "The Party lies ahead,
although not too far ahead.
-
- "The Party as we know it today, was built since
Nixon, by manipulating the fears of the white silent Christian majority
in post Civil Rights era America, the nation's dominant demographic. Soon
however, the so called minorities, mostly African Americans and Hispanics,
will be the majority, and when that happens, maybe in just a decade or
so, even all the cooked up black box voting machines in Ohio won't be
enough
to save "The Party of White Anglo Christian America from real numbers
that just won't lie.
-
- Picture it if you dare. Hip-hop music will replace
hypocritical
right wing radio talk show hosts, African Americans will be winning NASCAR
races, and the cost of segregated "religious schools will be out of
reach for unemployed White Anglo Male Christians seeking a new sanctuary
to replace the House of Representatives as the presumptive "For Whites
Only Party Headquarters.
-
- Unless of course there can be a preemptive strike.
-
- Mindful, the Associated Press reports that Colin Powell
told diplomats at the U.S.-Mexican Bi-National Commission in Mexico City
on November 9, that "The Party brain trust is already hard at work
to grant "legal status to millions of migrants who live illegally
in the United States.
-
- If successful, millions of new non-English speaking
strangers
to White Anglo Christianity can be transformed at once into loyal electoral
zombies, indebted for decades to "The Party for their very
citizenship.
-
- Another paradox but another predictably cynical call
by "The Party brain trust, otherwise facing implosion in plain view
of the very people they have worked so hard and so long to suppress.
-
- To the many rank and file Republicans who take heart
from recent electoral gains, beware.
-
- The same pragmatic forces within the Republican Party
that seem to be championing a return to "traditional values are
actively
planning to betray the very same fundamentalist agenda of those that
advocated
most for their election.
-
- SALAD BOWL OR MELTING POT
-
- It has been argued that no great nation has survived
without a distinct national identity and language.
-
- If that is true, the challenge facing a multicultural
America is whether the coming new majority sees enough virtue in the legacy
they will be born into to embrace it for as their own or whether they will
grow up in injustice, only to find that the promise of liberty and justice
for all is really just some one else's party slogan.
-
- I have heard though that you can't fool all of the people
all of the time. Maybe they think they can pull it off at least one more
time. You know, "For the Gipper. Up to now, after all, "The Party
has been able to fool a lot of the people a lot of the time.
-
- Either way, National politics is from now on going to
be about the Salad Bowl and the Melting Pot.
-
- Sure "The Party will still use the political cover
poor people from the Heartland allegedly gave them as their "Mandate
to move while the can to "shrink government. The elimination of
"social
welfare programs AKA Social Security, the "socialistic grand daddy
of all social programs (and a source of electoral power for the godless
former Democratic Party opposition that brought it to America in the first
place) is a clear first objective.
-
- After that, efforts will be made to offset the growth
of funding for "The Party's new fundamentalist Agencies to deal
instead
with issues of "Patriotism, Vice and Virtue, or "Homeland
Security.
Soon we will see the neutering or outright shutdown of existing regulatory
agencies that coincidentally interfere with the agenda of mega wealthy
transnational special interests.
-
- A golden era will be ushered in for those that would
like to squeeze the year or two worth of oil from Alaska that can be sucked
form the ground there before its lifeless remains must then be cast aside.
A window has been opened for those same few to reverse government wage
and hour laws that cause American labor to be more costly than third world
counterparts, and shutdown consumer lawsuits that deter cigarette companies
and other friends of "The Party from poisoning us for their own
personal
gain.
-
- There are other ways to solve our energy problems, the
outsourcing of American jobs, and consumer safety. But "The Party
in charge is the only one we've got now and they have mislead the minions
into thinking that anyone with a different idea is either an enemy of the
State or gay, whichever they want you to think is worse (if they want you
to even think there is a difference).
-
- And as Crary's report about marriage attests, just
outlawing
what you don't like isn't enough to fix anything:
-
- " Protection of marriage, is now the watchword for
many activists fighting to prevent gays and lesbians from marrying. Some
conservatives, however, say marriage in America began unraveling long
before
the latest gay-rights push and are pleading for a fresh, soul-searching
look at the institution.
-
- What an admission. The slogan, "Protection of
Marriage
was never really intended to identify a plan of action seriously intended
to solve a problem. It was only developed for partisan political purposes
as a coded signal to trigger a desired voting response from the
unconsciousness
of frightened voters who were never presented with an alternative.
"Future
Shock made practical.
-
- And of course there are obvious alternative to denying
your neighbors equal rights. How about getting government out of the whole
marriage business in the first place and leaving it up to private religious
institutions where most marriage ceremonies are performed in this country
anyways?
-
- While we are at it, why not remember that all the
"values
conscious, sanctimonious anti-abortion rhetoric we hear from White Anglo
Males telling women how to behave never changed the decisions of desperate
females with unwanted pregnancies. How about committing ourselves to
developing
credible options to abortion including financial remunerations by unwed
reckless fathers and new medical technologies to transfer the unborn from
womb to womb?
-
- "The Party isn't really that serious.
-
- No one from "The Party has been talking about how
frightened Americans in The Heartland (now known by some simply as
"Jesusland)
can keep women at home to raise children when White Anglo Male Christians
won't find jobs because the mega wealthy Party contributors have used their
obscene tax breaks to build factories and jobs overseas where labor is
cheaper or that America must be Thirdworldernized in that image to remain
"competitive.
-
- The agenda ultimately works against the real interests
of the constituency and so the inherently dysfunctional symbiotic
relationship
between "The Party's and its present day constituents will be tweaked
as needed from time to time with the use of a cross cultural "Race
Card, where symbols of ethnic or cultural change can be used to energize
the Heartland by playing to fears of losing control. For "The Party
though, the White Anglo Christian Male is just a patsy.
-
- LAST WORDS
-
- Seizing control of national politics from the Democratic
Party has been a long time coming but was made even easier because the
former Democratic Party never really had control in the first place.
-
- Since the Civil War, the Democratic Party evolved into
an uneasy coalition of diverse industrialized interests from the present
day Blue States and Southerners whose only connection to the Democratic
Party was that they WERE NOT the Republican Party of Lincoln.
-
- The fragile coalition cracked publicly during the days
of Truman when the southern "Dixiecrats first bolted the party because
of its pro-civil rights platform.
-
- Proving that no good deed goes unpunished, the passage
of the Democratic Party sponsored Civil Rights Act of 1965 shattered the
coalition forever. The Democrats hemorrhaged slowly for 40 years before
their ultimate demise in 2004.
-
- The lethal wound created in 1965 gave birth to a new
coded slogan, "States Rights, which provided the cover needed for
one time Democratic Party politicians in the south to tell former
segregationists
that they were proud to say that they had finally seceded and that they
were now switching to the reinvented State's Rights Party, once the Party
of the Union, the GOP.
-
- "The Party knows that while regional and racial
divides run deep in this country, most of their operatives still need
cover.
Up till now, laws promising Civil Rights to today's minority groups provide
enforceable consequences for acts of outright hate and discrimination.
In the current social environment, coded slogans provide the only
bulletproof
means for waging a political insurgency.
-
- Of course our willingness to accept slogans, slurs, and
labels over substance won't solve any of our problems or reverse the
changing
mosaic of America's ethnic demographics, but it is a tribute to the genius
of "The Party elite that it has cracked the code that unconsciously
motivates much of American social behavior.
-
- "The Party's use of the code to activate parts of
our brain that enable us to unconsciously turn our back on what is
important
to ourselves in service to primordial racial fears and stereotypes has
created a generation of electoral zombies. This temporary unity of purpose
won't serve deluded constituents of "The Party well though in the
future as we disintegrate into a nation of underemployed warring tribesman,
easily conquered and reshaped for a coming New Feudalism.
-
- In the meantime, I don't think that telling our neighbors
how we think they ought to behave is going to work. Try it though. I've
been told it's a free country.
-
- Just don't forget a slogan that "The Party never
uses, "What goes around comes around, or one that they did that has
now taken on new meaning for the nation's Blue State Neo-Separatists,
"America,
Love it or Leave it.
-
- Some would rather be Dead than Red.
