- In the year 2000, George Bush became President of the
United States of Monsanto-land. Bush had been bought and paid for by
Monsanto,
and genetic engineering and biotechnology were about to become Bush's
number
one agenda. See:

-
- That same year, the Governor's Biotechnology Partnership
was established by 13 founding state governors. Their spokesman, Nebraska
Governor Mike Johanns, said:
-
- "The Partnership provides a platform for Governors
to promote informed discussion about safe and efficient methods of food
production for the whole world utilizing biotechnology. The promise of
biotechnology includes new crops that mature faster, produce more, resist
drought and insects, and provide better nutrition."
-
- I remember when Governor Johanns was first elected. More
than five years ago, in May of 1999, Nebraska's newly elected governor
signed a proclamation for the "March for Jesus Day." The governor
wrote:
-
- "March for Jesus Day was established as a time for
us to join together as people of many faiths so that we may pay homage
to our divine authority."
-
- I wrote to the Governor asking for equal time suggesting
that now that church and state had become one, a "March for Moses
Day" might be a fine idea for the one or two Jewish people who live
in Nebraska. Sadly, I never heard back from him. Perhaps that is because
Nebraska has no Red Sea, and even if it had, that Nebraska waterway would
probably not have needed parting from Pharoah's invading Kansas soldiers.
In any event, back to biotech and our new USDA Secretary.
-
- Governor Mike "Frankenfood" Johanns grew up
on an Iowa dairy farm, and is quite partial to cheeseheads. He has a long
and profitable relationship with the dairy industry and with Monsanto and
other biotechnology firms, and is a big supporter of Monsanto's genetically
engineered bovine growth hormone. Biotech firms have donated dollars to
Mr. Frankenfood's election campaigns, and in return, Governor Mike has
donated taxpayer dollars to helping biotech firms. Governor Frankenfood
has even left his state and traveled around the world on American missions
to promote biotechnology.
-
- Upon Senate confirmation, he'll be running things at
USDA.
-
- Remembering that Monsanto's lawyer/Supreme Court justice
Clarence Thomas became the swing voter who awarded George Junior the
presidency
over Al Gore, George Bush, the president of Monsanto-land, is now paying
back favors while homogenizing his cabinet. Welcome to the hotseat,
Governor
Frankenfood. We'll be watching your every mooove.
