God's Anointed One Was Elected-
Be Afraid

By James Neff

What you are about to read is an actual email Jeff Rense received...

Mr. Rense,

Hello! I believe what we have here as far as the 2004 elections is a close tie between the devil and God. Not Kerry and Bush. And God prevailed obviously and placed the most morale person in office during the "end times".

Abortion and Christanity are reasons for my voting for Bush along with the gay marriage ban! I have been rejoicing since Bush's (the good Lord aboves Win!) victory. He is a family and moral man and believes in the sanctity of marriage, honesty, anti-choice/pro life. He is going back to the beliefs of our founding fathers of the U.S.A.

Of course since God is with Bush the world hates him because they don't want to turn to the bible and away from their vile-sinful lifestyles that are abominable to God. Jesus was hated by the world too. Doesn't it make since when you are born again TRULY through the blood of Christ the world would hate you too? Well, that is Bush. Wake-up. Bush sincerely cares about this nation because he has the love of God living within him. So, it is ones choice to accept Christ or not. If not they send themselves to hell by living in opposition to Gods rule. Don't blame him.

God Bless,

If your mouth is not hanging open, it should be. Reading this, whether you are a Christian or non-Christian, should turn your blood cold as ice.

What you have just read demonstrates how powerfully these people in Washington, in cooperation with media, tele-evangelists, right wing pundits and authors, and even local ministers, have through outrageous polarization created mindless, belief-driven drones who clearly have lost all ability to discern true good from true evil.

They have completely abandoned the warnings of Christ regarding false Christ's, false prophets and those who would 'come in His name', accepting them as genuine God-chosen leaders, with the perfect blend of psychotic nationalism and fundamentalism that can only lead to serious disaster. These people are fully convinced and persuaded that George Bush and the political party they lay claim to is just one step from holy; special, set apart from the sinful world and sinful, evil "democrats" "independents" and other Satanic non-republican/NeoCons, chosen by God, led by God, and most specifically, ordained by Jesus Christ, Himself.

They are so polarized that, as the letter above reveals, they truly believe the political opposition to be either evil, of the devil or somehow backed by Satan and clearly rejected by God. The writer of the letter sees George Bush as the hand picked man of God to lead America; even the world.

It makes me wonder what she thought of President Clinton, who was also apparently chosen by God; in fact, over Pat Robertson, a minister of the Gospel!

This is so close to worship that it is quite scary. This person is no longer making political evaluations based on facts or reality, but upon a new Christian faith suited just for US politics, created and formulated by NeoCons and others. Their Jesus is clearly not the Jesus of scripture, but a new Jesus, and Bush is His Pope.

The new Jesus is a warlord, who calls upon his earthly minions to smite evil -- whereas the Jesus of scripture says the exact opposite. The new Jesus desires to see government conformed to Christianity -- whereas the Jesus of scripture had no regard for earthly goverment, neither did any of his Apostles seek to change government.

The new Jesus believes in killing for peace, whereas the Jesus of scripture called for self-sacrifice over all, and never doing harm to another, even when wronged. The new Jesus is clearly a capitalist and favors corporate America over all -- whereas the Jesus of scripture held no reguard for business or profit making whatsoever, but gave freely and taught his followers to do likewise.

These NeoChristians have so lost their way that they represent a perfect picture of everything the prophets, Christ and the Apostles warned about regarding the seductive power of evil in the likeness of good, "for do not marvel, that Satan comes as an angel of light and his ministers as ministers of the paths of righteousness." They are the perfect example of how easy it will be for the forth coming Antichrist to bring about what Paul called "a great falling away" from the faith, when the man of sin is revealed. Through a false peace, and promise of security, he will destroy the many.

The George Bush this woman has placed her faith in to such an enormous degree is the same George Bush who, while claiming to be a Christian, put to death Carla Faye Tucker, who asked only that her death sentenced be changed to life in prison, so that she could continue her prison ministry for Christ, which she had labored over for 14 years while behind bars for a crime she committed while in drug-induced stupor as a teenager. The same George Bush who saw fit to silence the voice of the Gospel of salvation in Christ through Carla via execution, claiming he could not even stay her execution, much less commute her sentence to life in prison. The same George Bush who turned right around and stayed the execution of serial killer and sexual predator Henry Lee Lucas, allowing him to live out his life in prison and die of natural causes behind bars, while doing numerous television interviews and flaunting his grinning, Satanic face for media-hogs lapping up the blood of his sordid tales of rape, mutilation and murder.

Her reasoning is beyond comprehension. The world hates George Bush, so he MUST be approved by God, because Jesus was also hated by the world. This kind of twisted rationale is precisely the kind of retarded pablum being served in Churches and on Christian television across the nation to the ignorant and gullible. The disdain for Bush comes from him being so like Jesus. It sounds like something Sean Hannity might actually spout, with a straight face. It's enough to make one vomit.

The mass murderer Pol Pot was hated by the world, ipso facto, he MUST have been approved of God and doing the right thing. If this is the level of discernment and intellect NeoChristianity is creating in the sheeple, there is going to be serious hell to pay. Christians worth their salt and aware had better take these poor brothers and sisters aside and do everything they can to unscramble their poor brains, before it's too late.

Whether one believes in the prophets or not, the letter above is a chilling reminder of just how unhinged and divorced from reality well meaning people can be taken, with just the right finely tuned influences and forces. Every thinking Christian should distance him or herself openly, vocally, loudly and clearly from everything and anything having to do with this psychotic ilk, not only for the sake of Christ, but for the sake of the nation.

Dear Jeff,

Excellent writing by Mr. Neff. The letter he is writing about is so very representative of the warped, perverse, mindset that permeates our society. Damn scary!

Here is an idea... Let's bring our sons and daughters back home from nuclear-destroyed Mesopotamia and let these God-anointed Christan warriors go into battle for that God-anointed oil!

What a bunch of narrow-minded idiots.

I would like to take this moment to say thank you, and may the peace of God guide you, Mr Neff. I have been fighting a lonely battle saying about exactly the same things at every occasion, however you have expounded upon it. It truly is heartwarming to see that there are others who are not afraid of voicing their Christian faith and to denounce the frauds in the so-called "christian" right as being completely out of touch with reality not to mention pursuing an agenda that is clearly anti-Christ.

There is no forgiveness where repentance is not sought.

James Neff has penned an excellent response to the "God Bless" letter from a Christian Bush sycophant. All too often the response to Bush's psuedo-Chritianity and the militancy of his fundamentalist supporters is to daub all Christians with the same tarred brush and throw the baby out with the bathwater. By respecting and pointing out the difference between manipulated "NeoChristianity" and the true message of Christ, James avoids the Illuminati trap designed to denigrate and demean true Christianity by association with the hypocritical and lying deceit of the Bush White House.

Bush has gained the support of so many well-meaning believers only partly because he appears to stand on the right side of the moral issues and succeeds in hiding his true position -- his alleged homosexuality, and the devious wording that endorses partial birth abortion while appearing to prohibit it, for example. His pseudo-compassionate public stand has worked, but it is also backed by personal displays of affirmation of faith and prayer to individuals who matter. They do not see -- or want to see -- who pulls the strings of the puppet or speaks into the little black box on his back.

But the malaise runs much deeper than the ability of one occultist, Skull & Bones Illuminati agent to fool some of the people all of the time. There is an apostate movement of deception running through the churches in the form of a mass-marketing scheme, the "Purpose-Driven" church, in which an Hegelian dialectic shifts traditional belief and apostolic foundations to a compromised "feel-good" "NeoChristianity", expelling critics, discouraging discernment and endorsing conformity. With the churches and prominent church leaders now almost entirely co-opted, the NeoChristian believers can be swayed to vote as they are required, to believe what they are told and to speed the demise of the very faith that once sustained them in Truth.

Dear Jeff,

In answer to: God's Anointed One Was Elected-Be Afraid
By James Neff

The letter written by James Neff is probably one of the most discerning letters I have read in many years! James is without question very knowledgeable in scriptures, and not only that, he understands in a manner which indicates that he truly knows the "mind of Christ," which is surprising for many Internet sites today, including so called "Christian" sites. I have written you similar letters lately but haven't been fortunate enough to have them printed (I realize you get tons of mail).

Proverbs 14:12 ¶There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

Luke 21:8 And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name (or acting as though sent by God, or by God's authority), saying, I am Christ (not saying "I am Jesus," but, claiming to be anointed, or speaking for God, or, "God told me to...."); and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them.

God will NOT tell man to do anything contrary to his written word!

2 Timothy 3:13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

It is absolutely no surprise to me that this "person" wrote such an affectionate, albeit erroneous account of George W. Bush to your site, because like James Neff, I stand with a handful of others throughout the world that have watched the events leading up to these false Christ and false teachers in today's church world and world politics. Sadly, this is the prevailing attitude, or belief system in today's totally deceived church world. I will state categorically and without fear of contradiction from God's holy word that the churches in America (except for a very few believers) are so deceived that they would not recognize the antichrist or the system of the "Beast" if they were to walk up and slap them in the face. I will also state that it is my personal belief that "Neo-Christian's" as referred to today will be among the first to accept the marking ID of the "Beast" system soon. I just can't see many of them being willing to give up their big homes, automobiles, bank accounts, high paying jobs and other luxuries to defy the coming controlling system (this is supported by their devotion and belief in such a man as George W. Bush). I am more afraid of those in today's church world than I am of the so called "sinner." It will be those of the church world by virtue of deception and religious false doctrines and hatred who will betray us unto death in the soon coming totalitarian world, just as it was the self righteous who betrayed Jesus. This is also biblical.

As I have said, I am not surprised at the attitude and beliefs of this "person" who wrote such unlearned, biblically unsound, mindless, brainwashed non sense. Based on the scriptures I would be surprised if this were not the norm of the land and the world today. I personally have neighbors with this same dangerous mentality. James Neff pointed it out very succinctly when he quoted the scripture that; 2 Thessalonians 2:3 ¶Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day (the return of the Lord) shall not come, except there come a falling away first (a falling away from truth not a falling away from attending church, the churches will be full when Jesus returns, but full of unbelief and false worship), and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

Clearly the man of sin MUST be revealed prior to the return of Jesus! And, since the man of sin isn't to reveal himself, or unmask UNTIL the middle of the seven year (tribulation of the world), it is obvious the tribulation will already be in effect and "the church" is still here. So much for the false pre tribulation rapture doctrine, another lie of Satan. Let God be true and ALL men liars! It's amazing what we can learn if we will only read God's word ourselves.

Also: 2 Thessalonians 2:7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. 8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: 9 Even him, whose coming is after (like) the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion (confusion), that they should believe a lie: 12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Jesus warned; John 5:43 I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name (some great leader such as a Hitler, or Bush, or even a famous spiritual leader), him ye will receive.

This is where the worship of a world leader, or a man comes in. James Neff so correctly identified this type of delusional worship by this woman who wrote the article. This is a spirit of antichrist that is being perpetuated in the churches throughout the world. Where do we really think Satan is today? Is he not in our educational systems, or government, and especially our pulpits? Does he (Satan) not occupy the front pews? Have we ever witnessed so much dissension, anger and division in our churches as we are seeing today? Members continually run from one house of worship to another trying to find where they "belong."

Homosexual preachers? get real! Again, God will not ordain what he has written in condemnation of in Romans: Romans 1:22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, 23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. 24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: 25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. 26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

If the churches had been doing what they were commanded of Jesus to do, that is, witness to the world the gospel (good news) of Christ, and warning to flee the wrath to come, we wouldn't have the level of abortion, the degree of pornography or homosexuality we have today (yes, we would have some, this will be Satan's world until Jesus returns), they wouldn't be in confusion, confusion is of the devil;1 Corinthians 14:33 For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.

Jesus didn't command us to "go ye into all the world and raise money, hold car washes, hot-dog sales, book and tape sales (God's word is still sufficient), make misleading Hollywood movies that the world would agree with and accept, partake in pagan holidays and justify them in order to "get along" with the "world." Jesus didn't say, assemble ye cliques and special groups and hide behind your four self righteous multi million dollar man made walls, but God warned us to forsake not to assemble together as you see my warnings of the endtimes coming upon the earth: Hebrews 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day (what day? The day of the Lord) approaching.

No where in God's word has God ordained ANY man to prepare the world via war, or whatever means, other than the preaching of the gospel, for his return. As children of God, we are to go into the highways and the hedges and compel the lost to come to the house of the Lord, to call them to repentance, not slay the "rag heads" and torture and maim them. God will judge the world NOT man! It is God's place and right! Who are these religious nuts and arrogant souls who claim God's rightful place? Do they not read the word of God? Woe unto all who are killing in the name of Jesus (God)! Jesus will separate the tares from the wheat (the Godly from the ungodly religions) and peoples. I believe Revelation 16 clearly indicates who judgment belongs to.

Yes, a thousand times YES, homosexuality, abortion, murder, theft, lying, adultery (boy, there's one, adultery, heavy in the church today but hardly scoffed at, everyone seems to have at least two or three spouses and numbers of mixed children), all are sins against God's holy laws governing man's morality, however, today's churches gloss over the weightier matters of adultery, murdering their fellow man, stealing their lands and wealth, forcing their will on other nations and peoples all in the name of Jesus (God) and forget the need of love, compassion, tolerance and understanding that the world so looks for and needs from children of light (God). Is this the classic "straining at the gnat and swallowing the camel" type church or what? Have these people, the murderers and killers in Washington, and their blind followers of the blind never read Jesus' sermon on the mount? Do God's elect like sin? NO! Do God's elect approve of sinful life styles? NO! God's elect are in the world but they are not "OF" the world. Note, I said "God's elect" not "Christian's" which has come to be a misnomer today. God's elect are supposed to be the beacon of hope for lost mankind, not the judge and jury, that is GOD'S job! If we live according to God's laws and his word, then the lost would see Jesus in our lives and be compelled by jealousy to seek out the Lord, however, the lost can't see God in our lives today because we don't live it and even our children can see that. Why do we think they worship Madonna and Brittney Spears and a host of other satanic followers and disciples? There was a day when one could spot a child of God coming up the street, simply by their demeanor, and especially by their conversation, not today, you can't tell a Christian from a non Christian, unless you watch the "acts" or the "shows" they put on behind the four walls of their "clubs" or churches (they call them clubs now) 700 Club, PTL Club, whatever it takes to raise money.

God forgives us FROM our sins, not IN our sins!

I live in the "bible belt" and I have "Christian's" all around me, these people lie, they are hateful, unfriendly, unneighborely and all around much worse than many of the "sinful neighbors" I have lived around elsewhere, yet they justify all their actions by saying; "Oh, we're not perfect, just saved." Hogwash! If these are the "light of the world" no wonder the world is in darkness and so much trouble. My bible says; Hebrews 6:1 ¶Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,

Government today (politicians) will lie to us before they will tell the truth. They will belong to some "secret, anti God society" before they will trust in God. You can't have it both ways. George W. Bush is Skull and Bones, as well as probably other secret interest, as is John Kerry, these people usually belong to more than one satanic cause (many of our leaders in government at all levels belong to secret societies, including our judges). He (George W. Bush) started a war based on greed and lies and my bible says; Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Lord help us when America's judgment comes, it will be horrendous.

Matthew 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs (self anointed), and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

If the "very elect" could possibly be fooled, then how much easier for the nominal church member who are playing religious games, who permit some false teacher(s) to interpret the scriptures for them? The word says: 1 John 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

HOW WILL THE DECEIVER APPEAR? PAY CAREFUL ATTENTION HERE.

Here is the clincher, this will describe the antichrist and show beyond any doubt how he will assume power. He will not come as a diabolical devil looking individual with horns, or some despotic fearful leader easily recognizable, even an idiot would recognize that appearance, but, he will come as a man of peace and mighty savior and fool many (especially the church world), even the very elect (those real close to God) "if possible":

Daniel 11:21 ¶And in his estate shall stand up a vile person, to whom they shall not give the honour of the kingdom (he will steal his power): but he shall come in peaceably, and obtain the kingdom by flatteries (saying what the politically and religiously fanatical illiterate will want to hear ). 22 And with the arms of a flood shall they be overflown from before him, and shall be broken (shock and awe); yea, also the prince of the covenant. 23 And after the league made with him he shall work deceitfully: for he shall come up, and shall become strong with a small people. 24 He shall enter peaceably even upon the fattest places of the province; and he shall do that which his fathers have not done, nor his fathers' fathers; he shall scatter among them the prey, and spoil, and riches: yea, and he shall forecast his devices against the strong holds, even for a time. 25 And he shall stir up his power and his courage against the king of the south with a great army; and the king of the south shall be stirred up to battle with a very great and mighty army; but he shall not stand: for they shall forecast devices against him.

America desperately needs to repent before a holy God and get into the truth before this horrible day which is at hand becomes total and all encompassing. Time is of the essence! The tools are all in place for revelation 13. The closer we get to the end the more volatile the attacks on Jesus and all things holy will become. We're witnessing that today!

Here are the marks of a Christian: Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

These things (above) do not promote murder, maiming, torture and war.

Matthew 7:12 ¶Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets. 13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. 15 ¶Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. 16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? 17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

Be ye also ready!

Thank you James Neff for having the courage to stand in the truth. A rarity today.

A frightening number of Christians in America today are no longer looking for the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, they are looking for the coming of a Christian 'Uberman', an Elijah-like persuader, a Christian 'King' who will set in order the 'earthly' realm of troubles, in direct violation of the teachings and words of Jesus Himself. This is precisely what the mindset of the Jew was at Christ's first coming (a mindset so heinous in the eyes of God that that generation was condemned, all but a scant remnant, which became the first church!). They no longer faithfully awaited the Messiah for the salvation of the world, but became myopically racist and nationalistic in their vision, and awaited an earthly Messiah-king who would conquer Rome and all their enemies, and perpetuate the worldly system they grew to love more than God. When Jesus Christ abruptly told them His kingdom was not of this world, to renounce the world and the flesh, to release attachment to the material and set ones heart on the heavenly, they revolted against him and put to death the Lord of Life. These Christians today have fallen into the same pit. History is repeating itself profoundly. They are so in love with this world and the world-system that they want political Christianity to be their savior here and now, and "win the world for Christ" by means other than the Holy Spirit -- by force, by politics, by the flesh. They may not even realize what they are doing, but it will become the driving force behind a major affliction unleashed on Christians worldwide, if not play right into the hands of the coming Man of Sin, who will bring about the great 'falling away' as prophesied by Paul in 2 Thessalonians 2. -- Neff

During the American Civil War, one of the most interesting phenomenon was the fact that Christian revival was endemic in the South and the North. Apparently, the participants simply ignored the logical conundrum the simultaneous exercises of faith created. Not so with those who pooh- poohed the God of Abraham. The ritual of the soldiers before battles reaching out to the allegedly same God who was allegedly on the side of both armies simultaneously and decreeing both armies to victory simultaneously led to many sarcastic comments from unbelieving observers still graced with the capacity to perceive the logical connections between events.

I use the American Civil War to make a point about God, a point that apparently never been grasped by Christians in this nation. The point is that God is not double-minded, saying yes to one person and no to another. Neither is God double-minded in dealing with nations. When Christians involve themselves in corporate affairs, they must learn what God teaches about His dealings with nations. The things God says to individuals cannot be directly extrapolated and applied to nations because nations are much more complex consisting of many individuals simultaneously. The rules that apply to God's dealings with individuals cannot be simply applied to nations. Understanding God's plan for government requires additional Biblical exegesis.

Today, American Christians blithely assume they are all right with God. So too did German Christians assume. So too did Confederate Christians assume. The point is those Christians got killed just like the pagan unbelievers. And the nation they fought and died for ended up on the losing side.

There is a book about the Second World War entitled Why Did The Heavens Not Darken that is relevant to our situation today. While nowhere near exhaustive, it covers this most complex subject well enough for me to recommend it.

To: webmaster@rense.com
Dear James Neff,

This is in response to your article on God's anointed one. It is God alone that sets the king on the throne. He set Clinton on it, and now he has set President Bush on it. I am a Christian and I too believe that Bush sits in power because God has chosen him to do so. This election as seen through the eyes of Christians was more than what we saw on the surface. To us it was possibly 1936 and Hitler (Kerry) was about to rule and no one stood up. To us, Kerry was an evil man who would sell away our land for personal gain and "friends" in the world. To us, it was a choice between stopping gay marriage and stem cell research at the expense of human life, and partial birth abortion. To us it really was as P. Diddy said, a choice of vote or die.

Let me give you this Christian's viewpoint on President Bush. I believe him to be the fulfillment of the prophetic first seal spoken of in the Book of the Revelation (Apocalypse) chapter 6, verse 2. It reads;

And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.

We all know the story of George Bush. He ran his election campaigns on virtue and morality (white horse). He is by nature a hunter (bow in hand). We all know that he wasn't elected in 2000 due to a division and dispute. In fact, he was chosen by decree of the Supreme Court (a crown was given unto him). And in his first year he was at war with his enemies and on the hunt. He conquered nations and terrorists around the world. He is a predator and seeks out and conquers all his enemies (he went forth conquering, and to conquer). This is the man. This is his nature.

To this Christian, President Bush is a chosen man of God and the opening of the first seal of the last days. Be afraid? Oh yes, be afraid. Any nation that rejects God almighty shall be punished and judged and shall fall to it's enemies. This is our last chance. When the rule of George W. Bush is finished, the second seal shall open. The man with the great "body weapon" symbolized by the great sword that will plunge the world into the worst war it has longed feared to have.

Sincerely,
H59

This email shows the level of warped spiritual discernment among many Christians today, who see in Bush, and the events of the present time (and this is nothing new, but history repeating itself), as "fitting" with their individual, personal interpretations of prophecy. And this usually, if history bears witness to the truth, leads to irrevocable spiritual corruption and service to a false god, a false gospel and an apocalyptic fervor that can even drive the hand of man to fulfilling, disasterously, his own uninspired end. Just like the fools who followed Jim Jones to Guyana, believing they were serving the Lord and doing the will of God, just like the countless other moments in history when Christiandom was swayed to presume on prophecy, and bring about disaster, this cultural disease of Constantinian Christianity and Reconstructionism will only result in dread and misery, both for the sincere, sober Christian and the non-Christian. - Neff

This is exactly how rulers love to have things. They provide the masses with enough nonsense to divide them so they can rule them with even more ease. You people are so busy debating over the saviour and the anti christ, and pro life and gay rights, to gun rights and banning laws that you can't see straight enough to even decide who to vote for without some bought and paid for pastor to tell you what button to push.

All this religious nonsense is just that. Simple tools to rule the sheeple with. Nothing more, nothing less.

The bible is full of false statements, false words attributed to a man you refer to as Jesus that most historians know were contrived at least one hundred to two hundred years or more after his supposed death or escape to France. This so called 'good book' is full of contradictions, and some of the most horrendous violence one can imagine put forth by a very angry and vengeful god, many times on innocent people that deserved the right to live in peace as they had been before his coming but none of the bible toters want to see that do they?

Stop wasting your time focusing on this nonsense of the anti christ and start looking at the real happening in the world and what you can do about it now instead of waiting for some saviour to come and bail you out. Why does a so called intelligent being like a man still need to look outside himself for answers and power to solve his problems? Because religion has warped you into blindness to your own power. You don't need a christ to save your sorry behinds. God already gave you all that you need to save yourself you are just too blind or too stupid to see it.

I don't believe there is enough historical evidence to even prove Jesus actually existed but if he did exist as you all seem to think he did none of you idiots would know him if he walked up and said hello to you in the streets or in a church. In fact you'd most likely hang him again just like last time. So wake up and start thinking for yourselves for a change. All this religious crap is going to get you is more confusion and wasted time.

Actually, STR, Christ has given countless millions great joy and inner peace. The handful of nuts and ne'r-do-wells who, like in every group, spoil it and get the most attention by being the loudest and most provocative, are as predictable as rain. However, there are two sides to this issue, and your comment demonstrates it exquisitely --- another thing that is driving this cultural clash in America over 'faith based issues' in our quasi-secular culture is 'faith bashing' by what is perceived to be an atheistic elite -- in a sense, you are the equal opposite of the unhinged Christian who thinks Dubya is God's own man. You and people like you, strive to make people of faith feel ignorant and foolish, which persuades the unbalanced and immature believers (who have not yet learned to take your pummelings as a badge of honor) to lash out in the flesh, to fight back, and it only fuels their desire to "do something" about atheistic influences in their lives.

You seek to make them miserable, more miserable than you perceive them to already be simply by virtue of their belief system, which is an extremely narrow minded myopia all its own. You're part of the problem, not part of the solution. Calling people of faith 'blind' and 'stupid' only shows them that you have not yet experienced what they believe is the end-all be-all of human existence, a personal encounter with God. It's one thing to call someone blind and stupid when its something you have personally plumbed and fathomed, it's quite another to do so when its something you simply reject at hand as though only a moron could believe in God. So the NeoCon forces wanting to bait and train these weaker, more vulnerable Christians into trading in their faith for a worldly-politic to the satisfaction of their flesh, is only exacerbated on the flip side by the hatred, mockery and indignities cast upon them by those who are 'wise in their own estimation' and who reject what people of faith consider to be divine truth. Don't expect them to respect you, much less give any thought to your rights and liberties, so long as you hold all people of faith in such disdain. H59 Rebuts

Dear James Neff:

I would like to point out that I told you that it was "this Christian's" point of view, not the ramblings of some preacher.

Where have I said otherwise? I'm talking about individual Christians who actually believe George Bush is the answer to their misguided, worldly-minded prayers, or see him fitting into prophecy (do you have any idea how many national leaders have been thought to be the conqueror on the white horse of the revelation vision over the past 1900 years?!?! It's about as many as have been labeled the 'antichrist' because some nit-wit managed to get their name to add up to 666, like Ronald Wilson Reagan!)

It is amazing to me how it is that you cannot just let there be a reply. That is because of your fear of debate.

Ummm... debate requires both parties making their points. Which is precisely what is happening here! No fear here... otherwise I would not have printed this rebuttal!

Yet in case you didn't learn by the presidential election, people rejected the lies and fabrications of the Media.

Which 'media' is that? The media is not monolithic in any sense, except maybe to paranoids. What I learned from the debates is that one person could contain himself enough to behave rationally while the other behaved like a spoiled, self-important, pompous ass, and the American people apparently are so much like the spoiled little tyrant that they re-elected the smart-ass.

While you attempt to say that you are a mere outlet for news, this too is a lie. You, as they, have an agenda.

Yes, we have agenda.... knowledge and information. If we were totally biased we'd not be running your rebuttal!

First you needed to exclaim that my opinion was "warped." This was to prepare the masses as you call them for your explanation of my opinion.

Prepare the masses? Gads! No, it was to state my opinion. Plain and simple.

But you fooled no one. Hopefully others will see that only God chooses who shall rule, and to whom shall go the favor of the masses.

Oh, I have no doubt regarding God's choices in his will; you however, presume that if it is so, then it must in God's direct will and desire, rather than in his permissive will toward an outcome. Just as scripture says, God raised up Pharaoh, the very "Hitler" of that time, only to harden his heart, and crush him, that God's power might be known throughout the world. That does not mean God's favor was upon Pharaoh, only that he chose him for a purpose.

While you see the first seal as the "antichrist" like so many misled people,

I do? Imagine that! Amazing how you know what I believe about the first seal. Wrong! You see, you are operating on dangerous assumptions! And this is what pop-Christianity has done to prophecy, and it's revolting.

I see him as a world event and that is all. You may think yourself to be wise, but I'm not so sure on that. Anyone needing to headline and ridicule an opinion, and then slam it afterward is a person filled with contempt and fear.

I'm afraid your email to me was just a little too revealing to pass up. You can view it as spotlighting you for harassment, but it's not true. I have not displayed your name or your email. You're just an "opinion" which best examples the problem with contemporary Christianity -- in MY opinion.

I see you haven't changed much have you. Let's allow the others out there. The sheep as you call them (I do not) make up their own mind and read the prophecy (Rev 6:2) and decide for themselves.

Hey... we've posted your rebut... if someone agrees with you, I will post it. I think its way off the subject track though!

First you disapprove because you think we don't allow debate here, and here I'm engaging you in debate by not only allowing your rebuttal but replying to it in-line, but now you seem to suggest that nothing should ever be said about these things. Seems a little confused to me. I believe it's important that people share their views and opinions, discuss them and different viewpoints should be a part of decision making. Yes, indeed, I have an agenda -- expose dangerous forms of self-developed Christianity which threatens Christianity itself, and also the world.

I still have my opinion. You didn't make me feel any less wrong. I guess I can't be a sheep.

Maybe you're a fox? :) - Neff

Sincerely,
H59

Thank you for such a succinct and insightful expression of what many so-called "Born Again Christians" seem to be missing. For those who might be interested there is a wonderful website called "Christians Against Bush" at christiansagainstbush.bravehost.com.

As a Jewish believer in Christ I am appalled at the insensitivity and sadistic practices of the Zionist state of Israel against the Palestinian people. I am outraged, struck dumb and find myself wagging my head in silent disbelief at the sheer willful blindness of the droneinite multitudes of today's Neocon churches! As a church leader who (in the past) appeared on television daily I decried the outrages of the present church generation and sought to reach out and rescue those trapped in the Neocon, Pro-Bush, Pro-Zionist, emotionalism = spiritually, movement. I spoke up against pastors who fleeced their flocks and set themselves above the law as dictators rather than designers.

And how was I received by my fellow "loving" Christian brothers? As Jeremiah and the other prophets who dared to tell the truth were received; with such venomous hatred and seething angst that one could almost smell and taste its palpability. A fellow church leader once asked me who I felt was the 20th century's greatest example of living the Christian life as Christ had taught. Upon several moments of deep reflection I replied "Gandhi...Mahatma Gandhi". The church leader was so taken aback with my response that his eyes actually widened and turned a different shade of color. The features of his face became so distorted and twisted that one might actually mistake him for another person as his "countenance did witness against him" (Isaiah 3:9) He was barely able to arrogantly spit out "You need to find Jesus...I'll pray for you to get saved" before turning his back in loathsome retreat. My teacher ( the wisest and most truly Spiritual person I have ever known) once stated "You can not give something to someone who believes he already possess it". "Then how do you get the truth of the message across?" I asked. "Let your life be your message" was his reply.

I Pray the Peace Of Christ On EVERY human being and may His message (Life) be their message too!

Thank you, Jordan, for that inspiring, personal account. You've hit the nut on the butt, to be sure. Anything that doesn't fit the popular, status-quo, cookie-cutter Christian model is instantly put to death by the Pharisees/NeoCons/NeoChristians/Constantinians who seek worldly power in the name of Christ. They stand in a long line of prophet slayers and persecutors of the brethren. The foremost warning of Jesus to his followers was not against "the unbelievers," but rather was aimed at the false brethren, the wolves in sheep's clothing, the false prophets. These people are the chaff that surround the good wheat, which one day will be winnowed away and scattered to the winds, revealing the true kernel of wheat. They are the tares among the wheat, who must be allowed to grow up alongside the wheat, but will someday be separated from the wheat. -- Neff

Dear James:

Thankyou for printing my rebuttal. Although it was all hacked up and sliced into easily digested slivers for the readers, I still believe I got across my point. The problem is this, and it's easy to see if you try. You open your post of my letter to state that I am a neocon Christian etc. Yet what you actually don't know is that I am not. I don't subscribe at all to political parties and so you had to make an assumption. But it was incorrect. Nor did I say that President Bush was a "good" man or a "savior." I only stated that he is a world event, and he is, religious concept or not. My opinion is however, that Bush is just one of several signposts of the endtime. What you needed to do for the readers and to further slander anyone not agreeing to your mindset was to link me to conservative Christian and Republican party groups, Neocons as you like to call them. Yet I am neither.

Here again is my simple and short to the point reaction to what you published. It is you who are saying that Bush is God's anointed one, not me. But because you like to mock any Christian who may believe that Bush may have been put on that throne by God, my answer was direct. There are seven seals in the book of the Revelation. They represent world events, not some dictator seeking to expand his borders in localized warfare. They are symbolic in nature yet they tell of global world scale events to come upon all the earth. The fact that President Bush meets all of the requirements at this time would seem to indicate that he is the man. Not that he is saint or sinner, but an event.

Actually, I am relieved in knowing that only my postings are chopped and hacked up before released. Were they published in their entirety they may have opened an eye or two. It goes to the strength of my arguments, and the fear on your end of not being so sure of yours.

Who am I really. I am non political. Politics is a game for power brokers and money changers. Am I religious, yes, but I am neither a neocon Christian nor do I favor any religious activity in politics. I am however, a conservative and pick and choose my candidate only after careful scrutiny. So I am so sorry that you were so wrong in your judgment of me but as I said before, you have an agenda. Thankyou for giving me some of your time in this debate.

Sincerely,
H59

Actually, I didn't put you in that class of "NeoCon" Christians. I merely said ''This email shows the level of warped spiritual discernment among many Christians today, who see in Bush, and the events of the present time (and this is nothing new, but history repeating itself), as "fitting" with their individual, personal interpretations of prophecy.''

That is, of course, simply my opinion. I would classify your views as more (as I did) 'pop-Christianity' than NeoCon. Pop-Christianity is always seeing the prophecies fulfilled in one news event or another. My desire and intent is not to insult you, but to be blunt and forthright. Because there's a lot at stake here.

Hairdoo'd loonies like Jack Van Impe have been prattling off baseless fulfillments and "get ready" messages for more than 30 years now. I actually found an album of his in a yard sale titled "Russia/Magog Invasion in 1990." He just changes his prophetic picture with whatever is going on, and its tragic. It comes from nothing but what Paul called a "puffed up fleshly imagination." Not the Spirit. There is, in my opinion, far too much attention given to end times prophecy by Christians, and not enough attention paid to the 'weightier matters of the law', as Christ put it. Feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, supporting widows and orphans, justice, working for peace, etc. In this area, Christianity is woefully lacking and dreadfully negligent.

Christians who latch on to some scrag end of an idea based on some political figure and go working it into prophecy are, in my opinion, just as dangerous to Christendom as the NeoCon Christians. Why? Because ultimately it just brings reproach to the name of Christ and eventually feeds the world-system to mock and degrade people of faith when these ridiculous, self-made, un-inspired interpretations of prophecy are lobbed out there for others to see... and worse, believe. I haven't forgotten the malaise of "88 Reasons Why The Rapture Will Happen In 1988" forged by Ed Weiznat. I haven't forgotten the insane levels of hysteria exhibited by Christians who sold property and goods waiting to be airlifted off planet earth. We don't need more of that kind of crap. We need spiritual sobriety! -- Neff

Dear Mr. Neff,

I want to say that I love your article on the NeoChristian problems facing America and I especially love your artwork. With that said, I would like to comment on your knowledge of the scriptures, absouletly amazing and insightful. I must admit that your Christmas 2001 splash art had me wondering about you spiritual beliefs, I was mistakingly under the notion that you felt that the "Christmas Star" was a UFO encounter, and for that I want to apologize whole heartedly.

It is your repsonses to many of the rebuttals that I really want to comment on. Please do not be so hard on those who have attributed contempary anbd historic events to the prophecies of the Bible. The nature of the prophecies in themselves can lead to many different interpetations as the were meant to cryptic and full symbolism. Even during the ministry of Jesus his own apostles asked him why he taught in parables insted of being straightforward wtih his messages. Jesus explained how the apostles were given the gift to see and understand the mysteries of Heaven. This kind of knowledge, that being the prophecies, is not exactly part of "Being A Christian 101". It only comes with a high level a spiritual maturity, that can only be obtained through study, meditation, and true devotion to the Word of God. This means not taking everything that a preacher or teacher tells you to be the truth, but to study and seek the truth for yourself. We are human and not perfect, we make mistakes and we lie. This type of blind faith is more and more common in the church and only reinforces the verse in Jerimiah where God said "My people are destroyed for a lack knowledge..." Sorry I can't recall exactly where it is located. The propecies have an allure because of the power that they contain. So many who have not made it to the level of maturity required to understand them will read them hoping to gain the special, magical knowledge in order to prove to themselves that they are more than what they really are. They will come away, more confused and with more questions then they started out. To them the prophecies represent the pinnicle of their Christian growth, a right of passage from being a baby Christian to a fully developed Disciple. This is why you have heard many of assumptions made in the comments to this article.

I myself am not claiming to have made it to that level or to have any authority to chstise anyone for their misgivings. I merely live from day to day and do the best I can to be the man God wants me to be.

In closing, I would like to extend to you my appreication for drawing a line between true Christanity and this new NeoChristian doctrine that is poisoning both the church and society, also for clearly stating that not every Christian holds Dubya in such high regards. That is really scary. It is very refershing to see someone of your knowledge and understanding about the problems facing the church and not lumping all Christians into the Zionist/Neo-Con agenda as other contributors to this site have done. Thank you for that.

Again, I wish to apologize for my misgivings regarding the Christmas 2001 spalsh. You truly are a man of open minded wisdom. Keep up the great work that you have always done on this site.

Sincerly,
Keith G. Corbin

Thanks for the input Keith, and I'll try to curb my often antagonistic harshness on certain 101's out there. Oh, by the way, the Christmas star WAS a UFO... just not the kind we generally feature here (buzz! buzz!) Or maybe it would be best to call it an IFO... Identified Flying Object! Let's not forget, the Lord once "rode upon a cherub, and did fly: and he was seen upon the wings of the wind." (2 Samuel 22:11) - Neff

Dear Jeff,

One of the most beautiful aspects of your web site is how comment pages sometimes take on a life of their own, This, I do believe, is one of those instances. Such a fabulous exchange of sincerely felt religious views, this as been an evolution of idea's as Christianity is an evolution of idea's. Here is a basic map of the modern bible evolution, some people say inspired! "I believe most likely manipulated or tainted" Original Manuscripts 1500-BC to 100-AD. Early Copies, the Codex's codex, Sanaiticus 320-AD codex, Vaticanus 340-AD codex, Alexandrinus 425-AD.

Numerous ancient versions and copies of these Old and New Testaments combined, starting with: the Vulgate 400-AD, Wycliffe 1380-AD, Tyndale 1525-AD, Coverdale 1535-AD, Matthews 1537-AD, Great 1539-AD, Geneva 1560-AD, Bishops 1568-AD, Douay 1610-AD, King James 1611-AD, Revised Version 1881-AD, American Standard 1901-AD and now the modern English translation's The RSV 1952, Berkley 1959, Amplified 1965, Jerusalem Bible 1966, NEB 1970, NASB 1971, Living Bible 1971 TEV 1976, NIV 1978, New King James Version 1982 and let us not forget the Dead Sea Scrolls and many other newly discovered Manuscripts.

All of these texts portray Christianity in different shades of light! And many claimed Christians have never even read one of these versions to completion and yet so many are willing to try prophesies about the most abstract and controversial book in the New Testament: the Apocalypse or Revaluation (notice Christianity doesn't even agree on what to call the last book of the New Testament).

Mr. Rense and Mr. Neff please keep up the good work and may God Bless us all...even that Seven Horned, Eight Eyed, Demon Beast...oops, I mean the Anointed One, George Bush....

From H59
Dear James:

Again, I thank you for the posting of my debate with you. If you read your "heading" of the first on my responses to you, you will see that you say, and I quote, "Another Bone Chilling Example Of NeoCon Mind Control And Off Kilter American Christianity ." You pasted me as another example of "NeoCon Mindset." Let's say that what attracted me to your article was the slander of Bush that he was anointed of God. You jest, but who really knows what it is that God intends to do except God. Keith Corbin makes the point that each person needs to decide for themselves "what is" prophetic reality. And in this is where I am coming from. Even if I should not say that I believe Bush to be the prophesied "first seal" of Revelation 6:2, I could still argue four distinct things about him. First, he ran two campaigns based on truth and virtue. Secondly, he was not elected to the White House in 2000 but was crowned by winning a Supreme Court decision that literally "gave" him the kingdom as it were. Thirdly, Bush went straight into warfare in his first year of power. He is taking down nations and threatening to do so to others, and he is literally "hunting" his enemies all over the world. Fourth and lastly, Bush is winning. He conquered Afghanistan, Iraq, and influenced Libya. He has threatened countless others. And he is continuing in this path. He is literally "conquering" his enemies and intending to continue "conquering" So Bush really is a "world event" in any case. In that the prophecy and the actions of Bush fit together so well this is a reason for me to consider that he could be the man and the start of the end.

Again, I would ask that you at least keep an open mind to things people write and if you disagree, don't hack their submissions to pieces, simply respond as you want to. One thing that Keith said though that I find interesting is the fact that a lot of nobodies who wish to be somebodies get the idea that the revelation of prophecy somehow makes them a mature or superior Christian, and that this is a problem. It is. No one should ever assume to have "arrived." There are always more deeper things such as pure love out of an honest heart which I think God values more than who gets the right prophetic interpretation on world events. This has been an interesting debate for me, and I do have respect for you in this, that you allowed this debate to continue as it has. Others will continue it in various forms. Thank you for allowing me time to air my viewpoints.

Sincerely,
H59

H59, I would say rather that your letter struck me as being an opinon or view "influenced" by the current NeoCon atmosphere among Christians. I may be wrong, of course. I still think we have way too much newspaper exegesis regarding prophetic events. I've yet to a single one fulfilled with any real validation, not even the so-called 'rebirth' of Israel nonsense one hears of so oft among Evangelicals. I seem to remember Jesus cursing the fig tree (Israel) 'forever,' never to produce fruit again. -- Neff
