Michael Moore's Final Solution

After reading Michael Moore's missive on the importance of everyone voting for John Kerry, I remembered Moore's words from his July 2004 interview in Playboy Magazine.

In response to a question about what he would suggest be done about terrorism, Moore gave an insight into a side of him that I didn't know existed,
"Hire the Israelis to find Osama and kill him. . . They're better at this sort of thing than we are. I don't support assassination, but let's face facts. Israel wanted to kill the Hamas leader, Sheik Ahmed Yassin, and they took him out When their people were taken hostage at Entebbe, they went in and got them. In my movie a counterterrorism agent from the FBI, says the following: 'Most people don't realize that there are only 190 Al Qaeda members worldwide. That's it.' They have support cells and people who aid and abet them, but there are only 190 full-fledged members. One hundred and ninety people can do a lot of damage--they pose a serouis threat. So get them."

Moore might be able to sleep easy with this government "hiring" the Mossad to kill, but I find it chilling.

I can see why Moore supports Kerry, they both easily eliminate that pesky concept of needing criminal charges and an impartial trial before sentencing someone to death.

This doesn't sound like my kind of peace movement. I'm old school, I believe being anti-war means you actually oppose war. Being for justice means that you do support the right of the accused to a fair trial before a jury of their peers.

Its election day. Around 6am New York time I'm going down to the polls to cast my vote. I guarantee you this, I'm not going to vote for a war candidate or follow the edicts of a man who favors outsourcing terror.

But in fairness to Moore, Kerry wasn't his first candidate. Michael Moore wanted former General Wesley Clark to be the Democratic Party standard bearer. Clark, who once had the School of Americas as part of his command, was a big proponent of using depleted uranium and anti-personnel weapons such as cluster bombs in pursuit of victory. This is not my idea of an anti-war candidate either.

Well, what about the anti-war candidate Howard Dean? What did Michael Moore think about him? In that same Playboy interview Moore said of Dean, "My wife and I went to meet with him with the idea of supporting him. We brought our checkbook. But we weren't with him five minutes when we thought, Geez, this guy is kind of a prick."

That's when Moore went for Clark.

Moore easily defends John Kerry's vote to support Bush's invasion of Iraq. Moore claims that all Kerry is guilty of is believing his President like 70 percent of the population did on the need for war.

Michael Moore wants you to believe that John Kerry, Yale graduate, war hero, and career Senator voted for both war in Iraq and for the Patriot Act because he was fooled by a dolt.

Michael Moore's solution is no solution at all.
