- Regarding the plagiarism enacted by British government
authorities in an Official Government Intelligence Report...
-
- While an incident such as this may not be anything new
to some of us---it should be used as a wake up call to the world that these
people who are masquerading as the saviours of morality, democracy and
apple pie are nothing short of out and out liars and cheats. As of now--this
is clearly demonstrated in an undeniable manner.
-
- These government representatives are using plagiarized
material to create a government authorized Intelligence Report designed
to inflame public opinion to accept a war that will result in the horrible
deaths of millions of people and devastate an entire nation---and that
is the best case scenario. At worst, and likeliest, this war, and those
to come will embroil this planet in a nuclear holocaust that will destroy
all living beings and the planet itself. While we are now being conditioned
to think that a nuclear war is survivable---in our guts and hearts we know
that isn't true.
-
- So let us not just have a few chuckles over this shameless
example of fraudulent, unethical, unprincipled, unscrupulous, untrustworthy
and immoral act. Let us not just sweep this under the carpet as the next
wave of manufactured evidence against a fraudulent, unethical, unprincipled,
unscrupulous, untrustworthy and immoral dictator comes to light. Let us
finally understand that those who are so casually planning the destruction
of our children's planet are nothing short of sociopathic violators of
all human principles.
-
- While you may think that these are harsh words for a
case of literary misconduct-please keep in mind that the intention of this
report is to sway the Security Council and world opinion into authorizing
a war from which we may never return.
-
- As a student, I am continuously warned of the consequences
of plagiarism. From the University of British Columbia's Calendar Policy
on Plagiarism I quote the following:
-
- Offences
-
- Misconduct subject to penalty includes, but is not limited
to, the following offences:
-
- 1. Plagiarism
-
- Plagiarism is a form of academic misconduct in which
an individual submits or presents the work of an other person as his or
her own.
-
- Penalties.
-
- The penalties, which may be imposed, singly or in combination,
for any of the above offences may include but are not limited to, the following:
-
- 1. A failing grade of mark of zero in the course, examination,
or assignment in which the academic misconduct occurred.
-
- 2. Suspension from the University for a specified period
of time, or indefinitely. Students will not receive credit for courses
taken at another institution during a suspension.
-
- 3. Reprimand, with letter placed in student's file.
-
- 4. Restitution in the case of damage to, or removal or
unauthorized use of, property.
-
- 5. A notation on the student's permanent record, of the
penalty imposed.
-
- Warning
-
- 1.The penalty for substantial or complete plagiarism,
or for cheating, normally is suspension from the University.
-
- If penalties as serious as this are imposed on a student
whose work-though of great concern to him or her -does not carry consequences
as far-reaching as those enacted by this government, then I think penalties
of at least the same measure should be levied against the very highest
level of the British Government, namely the Prime Minister himself, who
is responsible for the official conduct of those working under him.
-
- The same should be said of Colin Powell and the US government
he represents, as, in alluding to this report as a credible source and
information upon which the Security Council, the United Nations and the
people of this planet should decide the fate of Iraq, committed an act
of carelessness, which considering the consequences, cannot be excused
as the mistake of an underling and dismissed with a slap on the wrist.
-
- These people take the fate of millions of people---and
the planet itself upon themselves.
-
- This incident must bring it home to everyone that they
do not have the moral capacity to do so.
-
- These unprincipled deviants must be removed from power.
