Over 900 US Dead In
Afghanistan To Date

From Dr. Mohammed Daud Miraki, MA, MA, PhD
(An Afghan American)
1-2-3

Dear Mr. Rense:

I would like to give you the news that among the hundreds of American soldiers killed during the past year in Afghanistan, on December 31, seven more American troops died in a shoot-out with Pashtun (Afghan) tribesmen (Pakistani Militias) near Angoor Ada.

Thus far, the USA has lost near 900 soldiers and officers in Afghanistan, and believe me this will not be the end of it. In Operation Anaconda alone, 177 American soldiers were killed and 16 helicopters shot down.

American military leaders are cowards because they fight from 35,000 ft with their B52s.

How did I secure the information? Research, Research and Research -- information came from inside Afghanistan, Pakistan and other sources. My upcoming manuscript will put all the doubts at rest concerning the US "success" in Afghanistan.

Seven US Soldiers Reportedly Killed In Clashes On Pakistani-Afghan Border

1-1-03

(BBC) - Excerpt from report by Mushtaq Yusufzai entitled: "Situation tense after Pak, US troops clash" carried by Pakistani newspaper 'The News' web site on 1 January.

PESAHWAR -- The situation remained tense at Angoor Adda (Pak-Afghan border near Paktika Province) on Tuesday 31 December following clashes between Pakistan's paramilitary troops and US soldiers a day earlier.

Reliable sources from Angoor Adda told The News that following the Monday incident, Pakistan deployed its regular army to assist its already deployed paramilitary forces, Waziristan Scouts, to safeguard the border.

In the wee hours on Tuesday, unidentified attackers from inside Afghanistan again fired 12 rockets on Angoor Adda. The sources said a week ago, unknown assailants started firing on the US troops when they were on routine mobile duty at the nearby Paktika Province.

The US troops in retaliation killed Said Mohammad, a resident of Wana, headquarters South Waziristan Agency. The body was later brought to his hometown for burial.

A large number of people after attending funeral of Said Mohammad staged demonstrations against the US troops. On Monday the US troops came under fire from unknown assailants at the Pak-Afghan border. The US troops asked Pakistan's paramilitary troops to hand over the accused.

The sources said that officials of the paramilitary forces told the US troops that they have no knowledge about whereabouts of attackers. This enraged the US troops who tried to cross the Pak-Afghan border forcibly, which was strongly resisted by the Waziristan Scouts.

According to unconfirmed reports, heavy firing took place between the two sides resulting in the killing of seven US troops and injuring of one soldier from Waziristan Scouts.

The sources said Wana officials rushed to the area and avoided bloodshed.

Following the exchange of fire, the US gunship helicopters targeted a double-storey madrasah-cum-mosque religious seminary and mosque owned by Maulana Mohammad Hassan, former Taleban official and close relative of Said Mohammad.

The US forces dropped three missiles on the madrasah. Two fell on the madrasah destroying its walls and rooms while one fell on the nearby ground, the sources said. No casualty was reported as the Maulana has already vacated the madrasah.

Till the filing of this report, officials of both sides were said to be in a meeting on the border to normalize the situation.
