- Mr. Rense,
-
- I am a daily visitor to your site and admire the work
you and your colleagues do. After viewing a story on Fox News today about
the Hampshire College war protest, I recalled the article posted on your
site several days prior http://www.rense.com/general17/hampshirecollege.htm.
-
- I went back and read the article and was amazed by the
conflicting information in your article and the story on Fox. After giving
the spokesperson of Hampshire Students for a Peaceful Response a 10 second
sound byte, a Fox News reporter went on to mention how the group's reasons
for protesting the war were "fuzzy" and unclear.
-
- Meanwhile, your site provides its readers not only with
a complete statement by the group, but several clear and convincing reasons
why the "War on Terrorism" is a sham. The majority of the Fox
news piece simply reinforced the alleged overwhelming support of the war
by them American people.
-
- The students of Hampshire College were portrayed as misguided,
spoiled, liberal arts brats who were protesting for the sake of liberalism.
Neil Cavuto ended the unilateral piece by suggesting that the students
had not been subjected to the "real world". This blind patriotism
and lack of journalistic integrity is sickening.
-
- If the students of Hampshire College are in fact misguided,
then who is to blame? Could it be the American media, which seems more
concerned with pushing its own agenda than portraying the "real world"?
Where are all the images innocent Afghani civilians being murdered? I
can't blame these students for their "ignorance".
-
- The audacity of these Newsmakers is shocking, especially
Fox News and its outrageous holier-than-thou attitude. I'd email Fox News
directly but I'm convinced it would either fall on deaf ears or wind up
the subject of some "viewer response" segment where it would
be sliced up and ridiculed. Our public airways have been stripped from
us and tainted by puppets in suits. I find this entire situation to be
completely disheartening.
-
- Thank you for your time.
-
- A loyal reader,
Chris Marks
